Chemists sounds good. Thanks :)

Good.
How are you feeling?"
Hanging on in there. Not at my perkiest!

It is a slow process to recover. Your body still doesn't believe what it went through. That will come. Even if you don't believe it.

Other Will, any house news?
What'd you need the alcohol for, GL? Depending, vodka might work just as well.
I'm of two minds about your anecdote, Lynne.
On the one hand, I'm sure the bride was more than capable of getting herself into the car on her own but you'd also expect her groom to show some solicitude on the big day. It's just caring and respectful, don't you think?
Rather overcast here this morning. An improvement from yesterday's rain.
Dave and I had a lovely, long Skype chat last evening with friends who moved to a school in India. They're very happy there.
I'm hoping we can get together for a proper visit in the not too distant future.
Wouldn't it be lovely to have all your friends within walking distance?
There is something to be said for village life, I suppose.
I've got a job interview tomorrow. Sorry, can't share details yet but I'd love your good thoughts, please.

You would at least expect the chauffeur to open the door Lynne, I thought that was part of the package!! Ooh, fingers crossed Patti

My lovely man put together a chick pea n chorizo stew to have later in the week. Even better, he cleaned up afterward!
Soon, I shall be inserting a shoulder of lamb into the oven. Wish I'd bought a better selection of veg to go with it...

No, there is no house news, other that I've just replaced the shower master switch and done some gardening...

Spent yesterday in lovely weather with our group from the local Natural History Society. We went to Kirkdale. Home of St Gregory's Minster, an isolated church in a wooded valley. Very mysterious. Loads of fantastic spring flowers. We hit it just right. Warm enough for shirt-sleeves but not so hot you melted
Baby steps, Will. You can't recover overnight. Be nice to yourself.

I bet it would.

I’m still nagging about that lazy chauffeur. The black merc was lovely but he was a slob. I’ve got a special memory of our big day as a press photo was used of me getting out if the car being helped by the driver. We looked as if we were about to do a minuet, he held my bouquet up in one hand and helped me out so daintily it was very twee, almost camp. I’ll try to find it . That poor girl won’t have those sort of memories - I’m no shrinking violet when it comes to equality and all that. We had black Rolls Royce’s and the one that fetched Roger to the church once belonged to Bob Hope. It conked out and wouldn’t start and he and the best man had to help push it. :o)

I bet it would."
I use meths for something like that. Don't expect you'd be drinking that either!
Good luck with the interview Patti
Given up on the hut today. Coldish, windy and now spitting with rain. After the corker of a day we had yesterday frankly it's a bit of a come down!
Chauffeurs ought to be opening doors for ALL their passengers if they are doing the job properly.

Gotta admit I've got myself really wound up today, rehearsing answers to questions I'm expecting. Doesn't help that I've not had a formal interview in thirteen years. My last two jobs, I was hired at staff parties!
We had limos for Dave's mother's funeral. The drivers were ever so formal, as one would expect.
Dave's nephew's fiancé was at sixes and sevens over it, poor thing. She'd never experienced it before. I guided her through all the formalities of the day with gentle nudges and gestures. She took me aside later to thank me.
I told her she did very well. Dave's mother would have tutted no end, mind.
She's a sweetheart with no pretentions. I'm pleased she's joining the family.

No tip for him.

Good luck for the interview - don’t do a Sharon Stone :o)

we've all got to learn sometime, and she's lucky to have had you to guide her. And you're lucky to have somebody as nice as her joining the family. You'll soon have her trained up :-)
Best of look with the interview.
I've never had one, whenever anybody has wanted me to do something they've just asked me because it's me they want. (Cheap and expendable has a charm all of its own! )

Cross your fingers AND toes please, my lovelies!

Everything's still crossed. I'll keep it that way.

Cross your fingers AND toes please, my lovelies!"
you're Canadian, they'll let you in purely to increase the average courtesy of their country by a measurable amount :-)
Go You!

Cross your fingers AND toes please, my lovelies!"
Wooot! Is this in India near the friends?
