SIL is home but no real diagnosis, it isn't meningitis but it's apparently 3 different viruses back to back with a post viral cough and fatigue. She'll be recovering for 3-6 months. Which reminds me, I must text her.
I've hardly slept the last few nights, really feeling it this morning. I need coffee.

Sadly, the weather isn't reflecting my improvement, so I think it's a morning at the desk sorting out Amazon Adverts and then a lazy ..."
Glad you're on the up :-)

Glad you are feeling brighter Will. Sorry that SIL has got such a vague diagnosis Jud, hope she recovers quickly

Lovely and sunny here but quite cool and windy.

A friend of mine once commented "The chuffing dog's the only one in this household with any breeding" :-)

You certainly lead a busy life, Desley!
I keep little spare caches of the critical pills, for travel or in my purse; maybe you could keep one downstairs. With paper and pen, and the purpose of replacing anything asap if you have to dig into the reserve. I do - I'm very careful to make a big deal over doing anything non-standard - don't want to take two of my prescriptions meds.

Funnily enough Alicia, since getting a weekly pill thingy, I've been really good, not sure what happened on Thu! before then I was really bad at forgetting to order so would always keep a couple of spares in my desk drawer for emergencies.

Editing day. Someone else's this morning, my own this aft.

Took a while to get that package!
I remember British mysteries and detective stories that depended on the morning and afternoon post - and the postman brought social invitations. I guess there were fewer inhabitants back then.

Blowing a hoolie here, but threatened sleety precipitation has yet to make an appearance.

I found this
Victorian London - Communications - Post - Delivery Times and Postal Regulations
Regulations of the Twopenny Post Office.- The principal office is at the General Post Office, St. Martin's-le-Grand There are, besides, upwards of 400 receiving houses for letters, both in town and country. There are seven collections and deliveries of letters in town daily, and five deliveries daily at all places in the environs of London, situate within a circle of three miles' distance from the head establishment in St. Martin's le Grand, that having been determined as the limits of the Post Office. The country delivery, as it is called, extends to a distance of twelve miles from the metropolis, and most places within that limit have four despatches and four deliveries daily (Sundays excepted). The hours by which letters should be put into the receiving houses in town for each delivery are as follow - For delivery in town,
Over night by eight o'clock, for the first delivery.
Morning by eight o'clock, for the second delivery.
Morning by ten o'clock, for the third delivery.
Morning by twelve o'clock, for the fourth delivery.
Afternoon by two o'clock, for the fifth delivery.
Afternoon by four o'clock, for the sixth delivery.
Afternoon by six o'clock, for the seventh delivery. For delivery in the country,
The preceding evening by six o'clock, for the first delivery,
Morning by eight o'clock, for the second delivery.
Morning by twelve o'clock, for the third delivery.
Afternoon by two o'clock, for the fourth delivery.
Remember our population density made this sort of thing viable, rather than a small population.

Implants - or telepathy."
I googled mobile phone implants - they're real!! Well, developers are researching them . . .

With regard communications, a lot of people seem to be moving away from email to messenger and whatsap
It's now getting even more difficult to contact people. I now have people I contact on their landline, people I contact on their mobile number, people I contact through facebook messenger, and people I contact through email.
Talking to one daughter and her comment was that it's only people of an older generation who actually talk to her on the phone, the rest just do messages
I suspect our communications systems are going to get more diverse as companies all try and get us to use theirs

Not sure I like the idea of mobile phone implants! It will be interesting to see how technology changes communication. I used to get excited by post, now I can go days without getting any!

We are to get some sleet today I fear"
we are having sleet, with Hail expected

My husband's phone connects with his smartwatch, and it's funny to see him answering his phone, on his watch. We live in Star Trek times.

There was snow on Black Combe at 10am but it had about gone by 12 noon

I stayed up late last night to sew a dress, it isn't quite finished yet but I'm really pleased with the result. I haven't tried it on yet though so I might change my mind when I do!
We had horrendous weather at the weekend, it didn't know what it wanted to do. There was thunder and lightning yesterday with the hail. Today seems to be nice and sunny although cold and blowy.
I hope everyone is well :o)

On the plus side, just found out that one of the latest shows I worked on in my day job, has it's transmission date set for March 20th, so those of you in the UK who want, can watch Married at First Sight on Channel 4 at 9pm.

I think I'm alright with the idea of mobile implants. I spend far too much time 'self-editing' what I'm saying that more often than not I can overthink things and lose the momentum of a chat, so my instant gut shot reaction being put out there might make life more interesting!

Hope you like the dress when you try it on Jud! Hope the kids let you sleep better tonight Ben. Glad the dentist got you in and you got the optician rearranged Kath.

Sorry this all resulted in more pain to your foot. That gets old fast.
