Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments That may have been the longest week of the year so far. And we had Tuesday off. Sheesh.

Never mind.

Had a lovely Valentine meal with my wonderful man.

Now he's snoring on the couch and I'm yawning and about to go to bed.

Such a rock n roll life.

I have my screen set at 110% for normal stuff and 160% for writing and 180% for editing the stuff!

And specs, and a larger than average screen. There's not a lot more I can do apart from requesting a new pair of top class eyes. Swap anyone?

Mwahahahrgh! You won’t want my eyes! They’re bollocks! I mean they’re rubbish, not that I have bollocks for eyes or anything. Sheesh that’s a mental picture nobody wants isn’t it. Sorry.

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 1752 comments I'm not laughing, M.T., no, definitely not, no, no, smirk.

And definitely not doing a swap with you.

I came across that recently and shared with a friend, definitely me!

Got pretty much everything I wanted from the retail park, except they only had AGAIL and I wanted normal, while it is buy one get one half price it's cheaper than Zooplus. Fortunately neighbour needs to go to other retail park tomorrow so am going with her. Got my friends stuff and dropped off, just about to put some tea in the oven and I'm chilling for the evening.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments We reached Wales safely and I'm now tucked up in bed. Not going to do much tomorrow 😂

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12605 comments Woke up early in pain, have tried painkillers and a cup of tea but now am hungry! Might manage a nap after a hot cross bun. Got a bit of housework this morning then going to the retail park with my neighbour.

Glad you arrived safely GL, hope the weather is OK for you

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments What a week! Just got daughter back to work and now Harry has chickenpox. He’s not ill he, had one spot yesterday but that could have been just a pimple so he went to school. By bed time he had a few more. I went into Boots and did a ram raid on the poxy lotions just in case as I knew my daughter was working today. Not having a lot of shops here it’s always a good idea to buy something when you see it. Oh well, I just hope I don’t get shingles. Apparently not according to the guidelines but our family always breaks the rules.

Not doing much sounds like a very good plan for a Saturday.

Lynne - hope things improve for you day by day.

Desley - thank goodness we live in a time when ram raids on Boots can be a big help. Enjoy your nursing...

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8049 comments Bloody marvellous. I have what is obviously going to be a chest infection, but I didn’t book a doctor’s appointment because there weren’t enough symptoms. Bastard thing. There are now. I’m just going to have a little sleep.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments The plan seems to be to go to Beaumaris and pootle. But that may change.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12605 comments Fingers crossed it doesn't linger MT!

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments We went to Beaumaris and I bought an elephant.

M.T. McGuire (mtmcguire) | 8049 comments Fever has broken so now temperature is still up but I feel sweaty and a lot better.😁

Was it the elephant in the room? 😂😂

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Anna Faversham wrote: "And then passed it on to me, GL! I remember it well."

No,this is a fresh elephant, purchased today. There will be a photo.

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12605 comments Urgh, woke up at 6.30 with toothache! Seems to have settled now though, but made up some salt water just in case. Got my usual Sunday chores to do, then hopefully a chill before having a bath.

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments It’s windy here. Hope you’re not seasick going home GL. The elephant might keep the ferry steady.
Little lad has lots of ‘fots’ It’s his daddy’s birthday today and he’s not had chicken pox. He might get an unexpected present. The poison ivy song phrase’ you’re going to need an ocean of calamine lotion ‘ is my ear worm today. Daddy is a big fellow.

Jim | 21812 comments Weather's got out, it looked like rain earlier, but is now quite bright
Off to Indian food festival :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Just got back from Sunday lunch. Bright and breezy here. I can see the sea from my bedroom window. It will be a roughish crossing I think.

message 9873: by Jim (new)

Jim | 21812 comments Lady wife and I went out for an interesting Sunday lunch. Apparently we've got quite a large Indian community who are Christians from Kerala
They put on a Indian food fest to raise money for the foodbank, and 150 or so people turned up to enjoy the food. It was really excellent. Effectively it was food as Mother makes it, not takeaway or restaurant cooking.
All beautifully cooked and delicious :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I am on the boat in the middle of the Irish sea and the boat is gently rocking. I went down to the shop earlier and was staggering all over the place. It's much better sitting down! The boat is mostly empty, apart from the truckers who stay in their own lounge. I see a TV screen in the distance with some kind of sporty thing on it. Just finished a Jim Webster book. As good as usual 😁

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments I've taken the day off. My body ached all weekend so I'm taking the day to hopefully not get any worse.

I suspect Patti is travelling the globe looking for new populations of children who have something she's not yet immune to

Benjamin Appleby-Dean (benjaminappleby-dean) Morning, everyone. Returning to the office after only two days off to discover 26 urgent and semi-urgent emails.
Hope you feel better, Patti.

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments Morning

I hope you had a good weekend GL.

Feel better soon, Patti, Desley and Mary.

Good luck getting through all that work Benjamin, hopefully it's just lots of different people trying to seem more important by emailing about the same thing unnecessarily.

Actually got out for a run yesterday so I don't need to go today, woohoo!

Desley (Cat fosterer) (booktigger) | 12605 comments Had to do a bit of an emergency brake driving down our lane this morning to avoid hitting a squirrel who ran in front of me – one of my colleagues had a deer run in front of her Thu and Fri when going home!

What a nice gesture Jim, hope plenty of money was raised. Hope a day off helps you Patti. Hope you got home safely GL.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments I got home soon after midnight last night. It was a very enjoyable weekend, but I'm pretty tired today.

Lynne (Tigger's Mum) | 4643 comments I’ve been nursing a very spotty boy. He wanted his lotion putting on like mummy does it with candyfloss. (Cottonwool). We’ve been to the park for some fresh air and now he’s sleeping. Same again tomorrow for me. He’s better at home he’s got all his toys and he’s not running about with the dogs getting all hot and itchy.
I’m ready for home now as his daddy is home.

Jud (judibud) | 16799 comments That is a fantastic amount of money to raise, Jim! Well done to all organizers and participants.

Morning!

Got a project board meeting this morning so I'm going to head out for a coffee shortly to take with me, there will be coffee provided but it's yucky coffee.

For some reason my phone didn't charge last night, thank goodness I have a charger in work, my train ticket is on my phone!
