Sounds like you also had a productive morning Kelly, hope you got some editing done and hope you enjoyed the BBQ

You will have to take better care of yourself, which is generally a good idea.

If I'm lucky, they'll leave my writing desk set up. Boxes can wait.
Unfortunately, will have to rein in appetite strongly here, or will end up as big as a house. All the stuff I never keep around at home - croissants, ice cream, chocolate cake - easily available at the dining room. I hate having to exert self-discipline when tired, but will have to learn - it also affects being able to focus on writing, and Book 2 isn't going to finish itself.
Keep meeting fascinating people, so the trick will be to slow the stream down. Talked bikes with the resident bicycle enthusiast - Davis is a biking city.

Thanks - and don't postpone the editing if you have a deadline; takes longer than I always think. Dust you will always have.

That happened way too quickly."
Agreed!
I feel like we're due at least another couple of weekend days.
Morning, all.

Sorry that they think it will be a long haul Tim. Good luck reining your appetite in Alicia, glad there are fascinating people there.

Into the last three days of the holidays today. I’ve cocked up and need to get more cash transferred to my parents’ account, pronto or I won’t be able to pay the Carer’s. I am an idiot. In my defence, it’s Perfect Administrivia Shitstorm time; my least favourite month of year: half the people I know have birthdays and it’s car tax, MOT and insurance time.
Molto phaffage. I am not a fan of insurance companies, as far as I can see, you insure your car to be legal rather than to reap any discernible benefit should something happen. On the up side, I have done the tax, also got a new license which I was required to do, out of the blue, and the MOT is booked for Thursday and Friday.
One of Mum and Dad’s friends has died (yeh, another one) and I have to write a letter of condolences to his Mrs. It’s very hard to do that kind of thing with a bored McMini on the scene. Writing these letters is very hard full stop but I really have to belt up and do this one, I’ve known nearly a week.
Never mind, it could be a lot worse.
Happy Monday everyone.
Cheers
MTM

Raining here today, halfheartedly.

Well hello! We are spread out, aren't we?
I hope everyone's troubles are solved soon.
Grey here. (But I dye it! 😂) All take care.

Oh Tim! What a rough time you're having, I hope you start to feel better soon and the next surgery is the last. I take it you are on medication for the diabetes now? Is it likely to take long to get it under control?
I don't know what I've done but it feels like I've pulled an intercostal muscle or my diaphragm, I keep having to take shallower breaths. Ibuprofen has been consumed and paracetamol is lined up to be taken in about 30 minutes.
I'm glad you are enjoying Myanmar Patti! Good luck finding somewhere soon.

Can't wait to finally get the EAL programme up and running properly.
The flat we were seriously considering fell through. The owner wouldn't drop the price far enough to suit us. His loss. We're looking at a few more tomorrow after work.
The less we have to pay, the more of our housing allowance we can pocket.
Gonna have a very early night, methinks.

I hate those. Very painful. There seems to be no logical stretching you can do.
Sometimes I have luck with isometrics (tightening the muscle, holding a few seconds, releasing - about 8 times, gently). Do a couple of times a day.

I had an amazing sleep last night! I slept in Kathleen's bed propped up on several pillows and fell asleep almost immediately I must have been out for the count by 10.30.
Was in agony again this morning though, feeling better now after some painkillers and a bit of movement.
Thinking of you Tim, hope you are doing okay.
Patti, what is your time difference now?

Just been catching up a bit, I've missed a bit! Good luck to anyone who needs it.

Glad you had a good night sleep Jud, I find the nights I sleep through I'm worse pain wise, but eases after movement. Sorry to hear that MT

I am reading and thinking of you all, I promise.
My news...
We decided on a flat today. Sorry, didn't think to get photos but I'll get some up on Facebook on the weekend, probably.
We move in Friday after work.
It's furnished but not fully, which means buying yet another kitchen worth of stuff. Was hoping to avoid that!
Decent size. Big lounge. Big dining area. Nice big kitchen. Three ensuite bedrooms plus a guest toilet.
I'm gonna be buying loo roll by the crate.
Nice, brand new, still wrapped in plastic furniture in the lounge.
Frikken glass coffee table, though. After I vowed I'd never have that again after Baku...
Oh well. Better than none.
Can't wait to get out of this frikken hotel!

Today: am - T'ai Chi, aft - ran to post box, pm - ibuprofen.
Good luck, Tim and Alicia xx

That was an early start Desley. Hope you can have a sit outside and read this afternoon.
Patti, it sounds like you and Dave are going to be really happy there.
It is back to being blinking boiling again. In-laws coming round for an early BBQ.
Have done 2 loads of washes and pegging out, helped husband tidy the woodstacks, cleaned and refreshed the cats' outdoor water containers (they have loads dotted about the place), hoovered, tidied . . . and still my editing deadline is there, looming over me like a big, fat black cloud. Can't put it off any longer, I guess.
Hope everyone one has a lovely Sunday.
