Joy D I found this book relentlessly bleak. It just did not appeal to me at all, though it is well-written:

Joy D This is book of a Viking adventures based on real leaders of the 9th century. It gets gruesome in places, but is entertaining and led me to look up more about the history of the Viking wars in England.

PattyMacDotComma My new favourite book! Becoming Duchess Goldblatt: A Memoir is funny, poignant, witty, unique. The anonymous author shares her real, broken life and the wise tweets of her 81-year-old Twitter alter-ego.

"People often come to me seeking the true meaning of life, but I find they’re usually satisfied with half a sandwich." DG

Overall solid. I don't think it quite lives up to the hype, but it is pretty good and I'd be interested in reading more by the author.
