I just finished part one: August. (view spoiler)[ At first I couldn't imagine what August really looked like. Yes, the book mentioned he had a lot of surgeries as a kid but it still didn't make me appreciate it, like, 'what's the big deal?', until he started going to school, with all the treatment he's receiving from the other students, and now knowing Jack didn't really liked him.

I like the writing style of this, it's engaging and does sound like a lid speaking. I loved the randomness of August's thoughts and how's actually talkative in his mind. He doesn't say much when he talks to other people. (hide spoiler)]

I also can't imagine what August looks like so I'm really hoping a movie for this. Also, for a children's book, I love the theme of the story.

51% (view spoiler)[So many POVs!!! I'm enjoying reading everybody else's thoughts! I didn't even expect Justin will have one. Is it my copy or his POV is all in lowercase letters? It's kind of confusing sometimes because there aren't any double quotes for the dialogues. (hide spoiler)]

Done. What made this book really WONDERful was that although the book should be centered on August, it also discussed important themes like acceptance, friendships, courage, family ties, and strong relationships! I really liked how it all felt simplistic yet heartwarming. I believe this is the kind of book that will really touch the hearts of many people!

I especially loved the many POVs, I think it was really effective! (view spoiler)[ Though I didn't like Justin's. I felt like he wasn't that important to have a POV. I much preferred Julian to have one. It was sad the bully didn't even had a happy ending :( (hide spoiler)]

I'm really liking the short chapters in this book. It helps the pacing so it goes quicker and doesn't need as much 'in between' stuff. I am (view spoiler)[ not really liking Julian but Charlotte seems cool (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ This is an awesome book mainly because you just GET every one!Ok maybe Julian is not exactly my fave but the way other kinds react and the way August reacts makes total sense to me ..I mean who wouldn't whisper?Imagine what his parents have gone through all these years..
I think that it's a bit exagerating though,cause after all of these surgeries the desciption sounds abnormal..well ok it is abnormal but it is the 21st century..with that many surgeries ,boy should be lookable (hide spoiler)]
