Middle school is awful and middle schoolers can be especially awful, so I get it. And the psychology of siblings in families like this is actually really interesting, so I really like Via as a character. I hope Miranda comes back around, though I really applaud her for still making time for August. Their mom and dad are just awesome! (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I love this book. I love Auggie. I love the Beecher Award. I love all of the people in his life who support and love him. I love his mom, who has perhaps the quietest strength of anyone. I can't even deal right now with all of the love I have for every single piece of this book. I can't wait to see how 6th grade goes for them (pulling for Summer and Jack!!). The scene in the woods where Henry is the one pulling him was amazing. I'm so happy Julian wasn't on that trip. But you can see so much of Auggie's growth and it's amazing. That Baboo moment brought me to tears. (hide spoiler)]

I'm soooo excited to read this book again after 6 long years! It's probably THE book that got me into reading so I can't wait to re-read Auggie's story <3

36 minutes in: (view spoiler)[ the description of the birth story got me in tears, I'm a mom who loves everything about motherhood with every fiber so this made me emotional.
I love that the book is from the boy's perspective, I didn't know that so that was a good kind of surprise, and honestly I didn't even know what the book is about, I always avoid synopsis and in this case movie trailers :P I love the audiobook and it's fun that the narrator is mimicking a boy's voice.
The pace seems alright and the characters are enjoyable so far (hide spoiler)]

34% about two and a half hours in: (view spoiler)[ this took me back to the cruelty of middle schoolers, I’m so hurt for Auggie and I also feel for his sister, I know he’s been through a lot and is a child who doesn’t even know how to feel for others especially the ones taken for granted like parents and siblings but still I feel for her and at the same time a part of me is telling me Jack Will was just pretending to be mean about August I’m not sure though... Summer is a beacon of sunshine, I guess that’s the reasoning of her name lol (hide spoiler)]

I especially loved Via's part. Hearing how she feels as a sibling to someone like Auggie was actually quite sad and I feel so bad for her and I can just feel how she feels, just trying to be normal and getting less attention from her parents than him.
But, I'm really glad Jack Will and Auggie are friends again! Them and Summer are like the perfect trio. (hide spoiler)]
