WHAT IT IS: We do love Tijan (duh!) but we think it’ll be good to spice & mix things up by adding more authors. The Auxiliary Challenge will see the group take on books by other authors as part of Group Reads.
But we won’t just make a schedule/list of books like normal people, oh no. We will do it like the crazies do it and you all will help us out and make the challenge your own. XD
HOW IT WORKS: Each month we will give you a set of parameters, you will suggest books based on those given parameters, the suggested books will be put to a poll and the most voted will become next month’s reads. If there are “left over books”, meaning too many from previous poll(s), then we will pool them together for you to make a choice.
Each month's nominations will have their own thread.
You will have two (2) weeks to nominate a book and then two weeks to vote
Clear? No? Ok let me give you guys an example:

Suggest one book for the given category per person
-A Book
A) With a purple cover
Person 1:
A)Trickery of the Gods by Jaymin Eve & Jane Washington,
Person 2: Nomination
Person 3: More Nominations
Gather all suggestions into Poll. Vote. Most voted are in next month’s Reads. Too many books with high votes? Save and use on later months.

The Challenge will start on January 1st, 2018. The actual suggestions and subsequent voting however will be done in December.
If you are wondering why I decided to go with that method of selection it’s simple: It gives everyone the opportunity to suggest their many different books that have somehow something in common. This is the method another group I participate in does the monthly selection, not quite the same though. It allows people freedom.
