Sonja (sonjac) | 1364 comments Okay KathyD I could go on for days, but I promised this for you today so here you are!
EDIT: I added one more... thanks to Kristin for the reminder!

🙈Lord Voldemort -
TBR: Possession – Tattoos and leader – and sounds rather hot!
TBR: Rules of Contact – tattoos *schwing!* I started this series just this month and am totally enthralled!
NEW: Wicked White – Lead singer I have this one on my TBR list as well as owned. Rock guys… RRRAWWRRR!
Possession (Club X, #3) by K.M. Scott Rules of Contact (Play by Play, #12) by Jaci Burton Wicked White (Wicked White, #1) by Michelle A. Valentine

🙉Count Dracula -
TBR: Sex Love Repeat - Standalone
TBR: Royally Matched – Set in Europe
NEW/TBR: Firelight – Set in London and friggin’ awesome!
Sex Love Repeat by Alessandra Torre Royally Matched (Royally, #2) by Emma Chase Firelight (Darkest London, #1) by Kristen Callihan

🙊Sauron -
TBR: The Man Within – Nature setting and a ‘battle’
TBR: Getting Out of Hand – Nature on cover and now in my TBR…. *sigh*
NEW/TBR: Surviving Raine – Nature on cover (MCs end up on a deserted island) and definitely battles… Twisted story, but super powerful and enthralling!
The Man Within (Breeds, #2) by Lora Leigh Getting Out of Hand (Sapphire Falls, #1) by Erin Nicholas Surviving Raine (Surviving Raine, #1) by Shay Savage

🙈Captain Hook
TBR: Worth the Risk – Features children I looooved Worth the Fall and have had this one on my TBR for a long time as well. Time to bust it out and get it read!
NEW: The Duchess Deal – Features a comically entertaining animal, Breeches the cat. I am going to recommend this book to everyone, every month, I loved it so much! This could be Europe setting, strong female character, leader (H is a Duke), Romance staple in the future, battle (of wits), clever plot line… whatever! I’ll find a way to make it fit!
NEW: The Last Werewolf - Features an animal... if you count werewolves... This is definitely NOT the usual genre for our thread, but still one of my favorite series. It's bloody and dark, but it's also witty and entertaining, shockingly erotic and compassionately, rollickingly, wonderfully written, IMHO!
Worth the Risk (The McKinney Brothers, #2) by Claudia Connor The Duchess Deal (Girl Meets Duke, #1) by Tessa Dare The Last Werewolf (The Last Werewolf, #1) by Glen Duncan

🙉The White Witch
TBR: The Darkest Secret – Magical/white on cover
TBR: The Sweetest Thing – White cover I’m reading Book 1 this month
NEW: Idol – White on cover and the cover looks magical, but I have high expectations for this book being that I loved the author’s writing in her Darkest London series.
The Darkest Secret (Lords of the Underworld #7) by Gena Showalter The Sweetest Thing (Lucky Harbor, #2) by Jill Shalvis Idol (VIP, #1) by Kristen Callihan

🙊Moriarty
TBR: Friend-Zoned – Sounds clever!
TBR: Hot as Hell – short book
NEW: It Ends with Us - Super clever plot! This… this book stunned me. It was so deeply emotional, deeply touching and absolutely not what I expected. I read it in 18 hours… and that’s saying something! Be prepared to be emotionally shot by the end of this one….
Friend-Zoned (Friend-Zoned, #1) by Belle Aurora Hot as Hell (Deep Six 0.5) by Julie Ann Walker It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

🙈Big Brother
TBR: The Chosen – Futuristic/dystopian elements
TBR: Manwhore +1 – Number in title
The Chosen (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #15) by J.R. Ward Manwhore +1 (Manwhore, #2) by Katy Evans

🙉President Snow
TBR: Beautiful Stranger – Popular (60,872 ratings!) and I think, strong female (yay!)
NEW: A Promise of Fire – Strong female and a surprisingly good read IMO!
Beautiful Stranger (Beautiful Bastard, #2) by Christina Lauren A Promise of Fire (Kingmaker Chronicles #1) by Amanda Bouchet

Happy reading!!

Madison ✨ | 90 comments Hi Suzanne!

How fun I get to pick for you again! Well I hope you like some of these, I started having to dig deep to find good ones you didn’t already know 😉 Happy reading!

~ Kristin

🙈Lord Voldemort

New - Throttle Me by Chelle Bliss - features tattooed bad boy

TBR - Wicked Nights by Gena Showalter - features a immortal angel

Throttle Me (Men of Inked, #1) by Chelle Bliss Wicked Nights (Angels of the Dark, #1) by Gena Showalter

🙉Count Dracula

New - You Don't Have to Say You Love Me by Sarra Manning - good chick-lit story based in Europe (London) that is a standalone.

TBR - The Last Werewolf by Glen Duncan - this was one of the first books to come to mind when thinking of ‘count dracula’ 😉 It surprised me by how much I liked it despite how gruesome it was, and even better than the first (at least to me) is actually the sequel in this series, Talulla Rising

You Don't Have to Say You Love Me by Sarra Manning The Last Werewolf (The Last Werewolf, #1) by Glen Duncan

🙊Sauron

New - On Second Thought by Kristan Higgins - this one is more serious than her other books but still humorous and good. The cover has flowers on it, that counts as nature, right?

TBR - After the Night by Linda Howard - cover has a nature scene and she’s one of my favorite authors so I had to get her in here somehow ;)

On Second Thought by Kristan Higgins After the Night by Linda Howard

🙈Captain Hook

New - Victoria by Daisy Goodwin - a historical story of Queen Victoria who was practically a child when she became queen. She’s very naive throughout this story but I still enjoyed it.

TBR - A Desperate Fortune by Susanna Kearsley - a book with dual storylines, one from the 1700s and another modern day that’s beautifully interwoven.

Victoria by Daisy Goodwin A Desperate Fortune by Susanna Kearsley

🙉The White Witch

New - Unwrapping Her Perfect Match by Kat Latham - a sports novella around Christmas-time and the best part is I found it for free at the iBooks/kindle store.

TBR - Honor's Splendour by Julie Garwood - this has a white cover and the beginning is in snow where the heroine thinks the hero will freeze. Another favorite author (only her historicals though) and I see you’ve only read her westerners so here’s the nudge to pick up another one of hers.

Unwrapping Her Perfect Match (London Legends, #3.5) by Kat Latham Honor's Splendour by Julie Garwood

🙊Moriarty

New - Tough Love by Warren Skye - a short novella that I found free on Amazon and couldn’t get enough of. It’s a prequel to another story (and I actually liked it better than the first book) about a mafia leaders daughter getting a forbidden relationship with one of her fathers guards

TBR - Perfect by Judith McNaught - one of my favorite books and authors which features both teacher and criminal characters

Tough Love (Stripped, #0.5) by Skye Warren Perfect (Second Opportunities, #2) by Judith McNaught

🙈Big Brother

New - The Kin of Ata Are Waiting for You by Dorothy Bryant - one of the first dystopia books I ever read which gave me a liking for the genre

New - One Week Girlfriend by Monica Murphy - has a number in the title. A quick and entertaining chick-lit story

The Kin of Ata Are Waiting for You by Dorothy Bryant One Week Girlfriend (One Week Girlfriend, #1) by Monica Murphy

🙉President Snow

TBR - A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin - I don’t think anything can be more “popular” than Game of Thrones. Looks like you read the first one (and probably watched the show). This series definitely has strong female characters.

TBR - The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult - while not one of her most popular stories, she still is a really popular author. This was the first one I’d ever picked up from her and I’ve loved almost every one of hers since. I never want to put down her books and this one reminds me of snow bc so much of it takes place during the winter.

A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) by George R.R. Martin The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult

I am usually not a fan of that type of genre, but i found i could completely handle this one. Maybe its Duncan's writing... anyway hope you enjoy it as much as i did!

I've been busy :)

With Tongue and Teeth Oct 2 ★★★
Matters of Heart Oct 5 ★★★
Backstage Pass Oct 5 ★★
Bittersweet Oct 6 ★★★
Daddy Kissing Santa Claus Oct 6 ★★★
Fugitives Oct 6 ★★

I haven't read much MF romance since I've joined goodreads. I haven't backtracked and entered books I read before joining. So unfortunately, I've already read

Laid Bare
The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie

but, I must say, you are a good picker. I did really like both of those books.

I'm pretty sure I read Beyond the Highland Mist as well.

I'm going to read 2 or 3 more of your picks. However, I think I''m done with the MF for a while. The female MCs in these two stories were awful.

Thanks for the picks!

Nancy H | 1111 comments Hi Rebecca,
I just finished the first pick I chose, and it was REALLY good. It has been sitting on my shelf for a while and was so good I wish I would have read it sooner! I love mystery and romance combined and this was good at that. Thanks!

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) Romanticbookworm, thank you for the recommendation of Orbiting Jupiter

It is not a book I ever would have come across or picked up but it was a beautiful story.

Read 2 of my picks The Hunt by Chloe Neill - left me wanting more...hoping she comes out with a #4 and Reasonable Doubt Volume 1 (Reasonable Doubt, #1) by Whitney G. - quick, hot and easy read!

On to #3...another quick one! Lol!

Madison ✨ | 90 comments Hey Avid Reader and Geek Gril,

I finished Sweet as Sin and Moon Called. I enjoyed your rec much more than the one from my TBR list ;) but I’m glad to have finally picked it up, although I probably won’t continue with the Sweet as Sin series.

I really enjoyed Moon Called and now can’t wait to pick up the next book! Thanks for introducing me to a competely new series and author. This one reminded me how much I enjoy paranormal/urban fantasy and how much I need to read more of those!

Hey Elke. I just finished The Hunt by Chloe Neill for a different challenge and she definitely left it open. I was not happy with how long it took Liam to get his act together.

Will try to finish The Blood Countess and Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between before the month is out- will see how that goes.
Thanks again!!

I read Fall Out in place of Fall Hard. I really enjoyed it and definitely plan on continuing with the series :)
Thanks for the pick, I hope to get to more on your list in the future :)

Pam | 1048 comments Hey Susan A.
Finished Can't Shake You (River Bend, #1) by Molly McLain this morning. I enjoyed it. Classic MC with an obstacle in their way (in this case: something in his past, something in her past and a bad guy on the loose) but a HEA. It's a new author and a new series and I'm always happy to find those. Set in Nebraska for a change which is where my husband's family is from.Solid 3 1/2 stars. Not sure if I will get to another one...I really want to read Mr. Impossible.
