Tamika♥RBF MOOD♥ | 88 comments LOL.. It can be quite overwhelming. If you have any questions shoot a pm to me or Jane she's the creator of this challenge very helpful.

Review - Irish FBI Agent Adrian Tally lost his husband, Gabe and partner Tom 8 months ago in a car accident where he was driving. He is being partnered with an ex jock 'cyber geek' agent, Jameson Walker (yes, like the Whiskey >> see where we get the series name, lol)) . Jamie has lusted after Tally since he started three yrs ago but Adrian was married. However, Jamie didn't go unnoticed but Adrian assumed he was straight. I so enjoyed the back and forth between these two. Adrian's family that we meet along with their boss, his sister in law. Lots of mystery and intrigue which was a nice chance of pace for me with what I've been reading lately. Reminded me a little of Cut and Run series and the narrator was wonderful - I love listening to Tristan James. I've already put books 2 and 3 on my tbr and she has a 'fourth' out in '18 (mf) centering on Mel (sis in law) - can't wait - she is one tough chick.

Breann | 398 comments Promises in Death (In Death, #28) by J.D. Robb

Week 3 ~ Option 2: Promises in Death
10/5/17
4 stars

This was one of the more emotional installments. I really liked the bridal shower scenes. Moments that throw Eve off her game are the best. The story was slow moving at times, but a great addition to the series. As always :)

Option 1
9. Lord Licorice is the baddie in this game.
Read a book where the author's name or the title of the book is written in black on the cover. Must be a solid black type, not just the outline of the letters.

(It doesn't matter the thickness of the type ~ just that it is black.)

Option 2
Key date: 7 April 2017

The Stolen Suitor
270 pgs/GR

4 stars

If I read a book based on the blurb and the first page, I would never have finished this one. Luckily I pushed past, and really liked the story. I loved Jeremy, such a sympathetic character, and grew to like so many of the other characters in the fictional town of Clyde's Corner.

Hmm...I guess this just wasn't the story for me. I didn't like that it focused so much on the teens and their actions. I really wanted to see more of the main couple. And then the ending seemed realistic but wasn't what I was expecting.

Review: this was so not my cup of tea. I spent most of the book wanting to whack these two MC's heads together. Way too frustrating for me when one maybe two simple conversations would have made everything right?? At least I got it when it was free :)

message 131: by Lisa (new)

Lisa (mooselover) | 2724 comments Week 5
Pins and Needles
Date Read: 10/8/17
Rated 4 stars

I enjoyed this book.
I liked the slow build up of the romance between the 2 MCs and the mystery. It did keep me guessing until the end as to who was responsible for the accident and the following incidents.
I like how Nate was conflicted about his relationship with Sean and the conflict of interest and I liked how Nate's father came round in the end.

So. Much. Drama. And I LOVED it. It was a little over the top, but it was perfectly done. I really loved the secondary love stories as well. Another win from Eli Easton!

Review: well that was quite smut-astic!! Short intro to the series where you meet all the players. Tiny bit of storyline with lots of sex. I should probably feel bad for enjoying it as much as I did ....but I don't feel bad at all, lol. I want to know more about Knight and see where things go with Rook and Jason - they are just too damn cute together.

Once again, the storytelling just drew me in. Love Jon and Leander together. Jon is the practical one. He makes Leander eat regular meals and is a grounding force. Leander is the more flighty one of the bunch which honestly is how he gets into trouble.
