Questions/Problems in Completed Tasks

The Haunting of Hill House does not qualify for a Golden Oldies ticket. It was first published in 1959. Golden Oldies must have been published in 1950 or before.

There seems to be a discrepancy on my GO count...I see only 3 recorded on the Readerboard...but I claimed one in each of posts # 1579, 1592, 1605 and 1693.

Thanks for letting me know, Ed! I've found the one I've missed and updated your GO count on the spreadsheet. You ticket total will be corrected in the next update.

RE: Task 20.1, option 2 -- I do not see Indemnity Only on page 1 of the Cozy Mystery Series list. The only place it occurs on that page is in the comments. Is it perhaps on a different page? If so, please repost your task with the correct list page number so your choice can be verified.

Oops, sorry. I was thinking of another groups definition of at least 50 years old.

Task 20.4, option 2 requires that you include the cover when you post. Please repost this task with the required element.
No need to repost the other tasks in this post. The points for those tasks have been recorded.

All posts, including reposts, must conform to the Posting Requirements. Specifically:
3. You MUST include a link to the book edition you read and the link must be included along with the specific task posting information.
The easiest way to do this when reposting is to go back to your original post, select "edit" in the bottom right hand corner (reply | edit | delete | flag *) and copy what's in the post. Cancel out of the edit, go to the comment box at the bottom of the completed task thread and paste. Then go back and add/delete/reword or whatever you need to do to fix the original post. This will preserve all your links.

Task 50.1, option 5 requires the author's initials to be found in SCIENCE FICTION. I assume you mean to use Blue Hollow Falls for option 3. Option 3 requires that you include the cover when you post as well as identifying the object. Please repost this task (with option in numerical order from smallest to largest) including the missing elements.

Re: Task 20.8, option 1 - Rock Chick Reawakening was first published December 1st 2016 and will not work for this option.

Re: Task 20.8 - I assume the book you're claiming in this post is for task 20.8, not 20.4. Also, for future reference, January 25th 2005 is when the paperback edition of The Full Cupboard of Life was published, not the date the book was first published. The book was first published January 1st 2003: The Full Cupboard of Life. Still works for the option, but you should look for first published dates.

Task 50.1, option 3 requires that you include the cover when you post as well as identifying the object. Please repost this task, in its entirety, including the missing elements.

RE: Task 20.1, option 2 -- I do not see Indemnity Only on page 1 of the Cozy Mystery Series list. The only place it occurs on that page is in the comments..."
It was absolutely #85 on the first page of the list. The only thing I can figure is that someone did some edition combining that made it disappear. Very frustrating, but I understand there is nothing the moderators can do about it.

Your post is missing a link to the book you read. Please repost this task with a link to the book.

Sorry about that, Heather(Gibby). :-(

In post #1728 in Completed Tasks, I posted A Twist of Fate by Susannah Carleton for Task #5.10. I think those points were missed because I show I should have 395 points instead of 390. I can't find a posting in this thread to indicate a problem with this task. Was there an issue with that post?
Thanks!

Sorry about that Kristina! I used the link add for Book feature but for some reason it must not have pasted the complete link. I did have a computer hiccup about that time so maybe the link didn't completely transfer. Anyway I reposed with link under Post #1905.

You posted the same task (with the same book) in posts #1728 and #1362. So I think you've counted it twice in your total.

Thanks for checking. Sorry to give you extra work.

Task 50.1, option 3 requires that you include the cover when you post as well as identifying the object. Please repost this task, in its entirety, including the missing elements.

I have counted 475 points but the reader board only shows 455.
My last 3 posts were 1871, 1897 and 1949
I didn't see any posts with my name on them in this thread.
Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know, Lavender! Found and fixed. Your points will show up in the next update.

Re: Task 25.7 -- To form the plural of daisy, you change the y to an i and adding es. This makes daisy a regular plural noun not an irregular one.

Re: Task 5.4 -- The Summer Challenge task you've chosen requires you to include the cover when you post. Please repost this task including the required element.

Found and fixed!

Task 25.1, book 1 requires a book first published in 2015. Hammaskeiju was first published in 2017.

1. Option 1 The Jungle
2. Option 2 Rogue
3. Option 3

Points this post: 50
Points: 50+ 615 = 665
BB: 2
GO: 2

This is just FYI -- Re: Task 25.5, option 2 - The edition of The Butchered Man you've linked to is an ebook and, therefore, cannot be used to fulfill a certain page number. However, the paperback version of the book - The Butchered Man - has 364 pages so it will still work for this option.

Task 50.1, option 3 requires that you include the cover when you post as well as identifying the object. Please repost this task, in its entirety, including the missing elements.

Task 10.5 requires that the author's name and the guest's name match exactly. Quan Barry will not work. The guest's name is Ken Berry, with an e.

Task 30.1, option 1 requires a book written by an author whose first and last name initials can be found in the word SEVEN. Frances Hardinge does not fit this requirement.

We have several Katys in the challenge. You will need to request a unique Readerboard name in the Readerboard Names thread. Post 3 in that thread can give you more guidance.
Also, please review the Posting Requirements before posting completed tasks. Specifically:
3. You MUST include a link to the book edition you read and the link must be included along with the specific task posting information.
Once your Readerboard name is all set up, please go back to the Completed Tasks thread and repost your tasks, with the required links, so your points can be recorded.

re: Task 20.1 -- Hamilton's Battalion: A Trio of Romances appears to be an ebook without a print edition. You must have it approved for length in Ebook page verification in General Help.
Your repost should include the line number of the approval in the ebook spreadsheet or a link/post number of the post in which the ebook was approved for length. Please repost only this task.

Task 20.5 explicitly restricts the use of children's books. If you decide to use the book for a different task, please review the rules for books with the main page genre childrens or kids: Books Formats #4 and include the required information in your repost.

Task 30.8 requires that the books you read must have a combined total of at least 600 pages. The Invisible Library has 329 pages and the most popular paperback edition of Hunter's Claim has 236. 329 + 236 = 565 pages

Task 50.1, option 3 requires that you include the cover when you post as well as identifying the object. Please repost this task, in its entirety, including the missing element.

re: Task 20.1 -- Your repost should include the line number of the approval in the ebook spreadsheet or a link/post number of the post in which the ebook was approved for length. Please repost only this task. "
My post did include the link and post number.

Task 10.6 requires you to include the cover when you post. Please repost this task with the missing element.
Re: 50.1, option 3 -- Sky has been specifically ruled out for this option. I'm not sure if clouds will work. If you got this book approved in the help thread, please repost it with a link to the task creator's approval post.

Wow. Totally missed that! Thank you, Angie. It's all fixed in the spreadsheet now. Your corrected total will show up in the next update. Sorry about that!

Task 15.4, book 1 requires a book where the beginning letter of each word in the title can be found in STRANGER THINGS, not the author's name. Fear the Darkness won't work for this option.
Task 20.8, option 1 requires a book that was first published in January. The edition of The Outcast Dead you've linked to is a paperback that was published January 6th 2015 by Mariner Books (first published 2014). It was first published on February 6th 2014.

I missed that. This task will probably go unsolved then as I barely managed to find those two books to read

We have several Pams in the challenge. Please repost your task with your Readerboard name at the top of your post.

Re: Task 25.1 -- The one book option for this task must satisfy both holidays, meaning the book must be first published in 2015 AND have a word in the title that is also a word in the name of a horse that has won the Melbourne Cup. Unless I'm missing something, The Invasion of the Tearling fits only one of these criteria.
