he must have done another edition because I've only listened to him.....no one else would be Harry for me, lol Don't think I could do it .....now I have to see if I have him as narrator for the next two I need to 'read'

Review: Luki is not in a good place after having to shoot/kill (basically a kid - who had a gun ready to kill Luki) to protect himself and Sonny. Sonny is trying to be supportive and has put his life on hold to watch over Luki. However, this isn't working for either of them so Sonny decides to sop putting off his trip to France for his weaving job. Unbeknownst to either, Sonny will be leaving the safety of home into the clutches of another evil out to destroy them. Can Luki save himself and Sonny in time. The first half of the book dragged and dragged and dragged. Once Sonny got to France and Luki figured out things were not what they seemed the book picked up, got a whole lot better IMO. These are always so ssslllloooowww - not sure if it's just me or this author's writing style. Anyway - happy with the ending but it will be a while I think before I pick up the novella after this and then just one more in the series.

Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas

Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
8/28/17 ★★★★

What a great new to me series! I have seen many bingo players reading this series over the years, but have never read anything about this, or considered reading it. However, this week was a bit of a challenge for me to find a book, and the library had this on hand, so this book it was. I was really surprised at how quickly I was hooked. Celaena in a young woman being freed from a death prison to compete to be the King's Champion. The Prince has selected her as his candidate, and her reward, if she wins, is her freedom after serving the king for four years. She has never been free in all her life. She was trained as a young girl to be an assassin and a year ago was caught and sent to the prison one year ago. Celaena has to train to strengthen her body after spending the year away, and works daily with Chaol, the Captail on the Guard, as well as the Prince's best friend. As the competition begins, the other Champions begin to be brutally murdered one by one. There were a lot of elements to the story, between solving who is murdering the Champions, the cause of the dreams that are waking her at night, the magic symbols she is seeing all over the castle, despite the King's outlaw of magic, and most of all, the frustrating love triangle between Celaena, Chaol and the Prince. Both men have feelings for the assassin and she for them. It got a bit much a couple of times, but all in all, this was a fantastic book and I will definitely read on. In fact, I told my husband about it and he is reading already reading it.

I know how busy it can get with kids and school. Unfortunately it much doesn't change when they are in college and living at home.

Listening to James Masters narrations is like chocolate to my ears...
I recently finished Ghost Story. It's going to be so weird when I get caught up.

I'm a little unsure if I consider this a 3.5 stars or a 4 stars. It was a pretty fun book, and I enjoyed listening to a short mystery. I'm interested in mostly anything about Sherlock Holmes, so I knew I'd eventually pick this book up.

I enjoyed the mystery of this book, and as usual I love it when Sherlock explains how he (in this case she) know things. That's always been one of my favorite things.
My least favorite thing about this was that it was turned into a romance between Sherlock and Watson. I much prefer a strong friendship. Also considering the original stories. I definitely enjoyed this enough to continue on with the trilogy.

Review:
Now I have to be honest and say I haven't read nearly enough of Ilona Andrew's books. I read the first 3 of Kate Daniels and now this one. They've for the most part always proven to be very entertaining reads. This book was no different. I enjoyed the magic system. I have missed reading some UF for a while, so picking this up was the right thing to do.
I really enjoy their writing style, they have a really nice pace to their stories, and I don't think you can tell that they're two people writing these books. It flows very naturally.
The narration of the audiobook I had to get used to. It always happens when narrators speaks with an accent. Especially american accents. I don't have the same problems with British, mostly because I'm so used to them.
Anyway really enjoyed it, and can't wait to read the next 2 books in the series.

So it seems Gin just can’t take a vacation away from her life. Bria and Gin were supposed to have a fun weekend on the beach where Bria grew up, with Owen and Finn meeting them. It didn’t take long for Gin to find trouble when giants come to harass Bria’s best friend, Cali in order to sell her business. Much to her surprise she finds out Cali’s fiancée is Donovan.
Gin winds up doing what she does best. It seemed she got a little cocky after killing Mab and realized that there are others out there who are just as evil as or even more evil than Mab. After learning lessons after miscalculating how to handle the giant’s boss she manages to kill Randall Deets with a little help.
I do like that Gin was finally able to get some closure about Donovan. I was concerned with how she reacted to him at first. I was so happy to find out that she realizes that she is over him and that she tells him off. I really didn’t like how Donovan left Ashland, however I think he was more of an ass with the way he was acting now. I guess it was a good thing since it made Bria realize she was behaving similarly towards Gin and decided to change it and bought them closer.

Review: oohhh I really really liked this one. I've been fascinated with Silver Mercant since we first met her books ago - I enjoyed her book immensely. And her grandmother - awesome! Valentin Nikolaev, alpha of the bears - perfect for her. Silver and Valentin's Mom - again awesome! Lots of stuff going on with the 'three' communities in this one - sone a little confusing - maybe because I skipped the book right before this one but I got most of it. I wish book 2 was already out.....waiting until 2018.That's the only bad thing about being up to date with a series....the wait time ,lol.

I really love both of Nalini Singh's PNR series. She is one of my favorite authors. I have a love/hate relationship with her books. I love reading them and hate having to wait for the next one to come out. I really wish she could write as fast as I want to read her books.

Just want to apologize if there is any misspellings with a few words since I listened to the book and not sure how they were spelled in the book. I just recently started the Cassandra Palmer series and absolutely love it. Cassandra has received the power of the pithia and is trying to find a way to get rid of it since it is causing more problems than its worth with Myra wanting to take the power away from her, mages trying to kill her, the vampires wanting to control her and visiting Faery. Throughout the book she finds other trouble with Mishka putting a ghee on her when she was young and coming to grips of being pithia. The book is full of action, time travel and visiting Faery. I absolutely love this series and can’t wait until I have time for the next book.

Review:
I really enjoyed being back in this series. There was definitely a lot of action packed scenes in this book, with people trying to get rid of Alexia multiple times over the book.
The characters are really fun to follow. I really enjoyed being introduced to Madam Lefoux, she was a really interesting character.
I love the humor in these books. It's always on point and very british. I find myself laughing out loud often, and the narration of the audios is pretty good.
Overall an enjoyable read, and I give it 4 stars.

Review: well Harry is back, with a body this time and the full mantle of the Winter Knight. He has gone through months of physical therapy, been introduced at court on his birthday no less.....and been given his first task as the Winter Knight. The games are afoot. Harry reunites with his friends while attempting to defeat the bad guys and save the day. Things never turn out how you think and this one was no different. This series just continues to get better and better. The only problem is the next one is the last available for a while :( Butcher has just started writing Peace Talks - that's the only problem with being all caught up with a series ...the waiting

(view spoiler)

Heather ~ Marceline | 1017 comments Ugghhh, I agree with you both, I went through the 25 pages, I know I can manually look at more pages, but just didn't feel like it. I think I will be reading The Selection (The Selection, #1) by Kiera Cass , but not sure. I bought this book ages ago, but have never been able to pick it up. Otherwise I will be doing a re-read. There were some really weird ones on this list for sure.
