I know of a couple of Steampunk series that do have a romantic bent, if you're interested. Cindy Spencer Pape has her Gaslight Chronicles, starting with Steam & Sorcery. These are pretty good, but I actually prefer Kady Cross' Steampunk Chronicles. The prequel book is The Strange Case of Finley Jayne, and is usually packaged in ebook form with The Girl in the Steel Corset. Both of these have romantic stories, though Kady Cross' books are listed as YA and have an actual story arc that spans several books. Hope that helps!

I do have the Kady Cross books on my TBR (though my library doesn't carry the prequel, boo) but I wasn't sure how much romance they have in them. Good to know that they have enough to count!"

I'd loan the Kindle copy to you if I could, if lending was enabled for it! The prequel isn't really necessary to read before the first book, and if you can't get it, I can tell you what happens in it. Just be aware, the romance is secondary to the plot, and the first book does not have a HEA, that relationship is still in development at the start of book two. (There are 4 total out, with novellas as well.) However, I see enough romance in them to count! If you decide to read them, I really hope you enjoy them!

ilovebakedgoods (Teresa) (ilovebakedgoods) Thanks, Trea! I am not really good at e-reading so the 4 books I can get from the library will be fine. Good to know the info that you shared, though!

Glad to help! Wanted to let you know...my 5 year old son saw your avatar picture and he loves it! He's a huge Unikitty fan!

Another addition to steam punk with a romance in it is Bec McMaster's Kiss of Steel. That is the first book in the series. There are several of us ladies in here that LOVE that series.

I finished 'Til We Meet Again a few days ago, and hadn't had a chance to post until now. It wasn't that great a read, I know of better ghost stories than what this one was.

*laughs* I have a bad habit of picking up freebie, or $.99 Kindle books. It winds up feeding my TBR to massive proportions, but sometimes I find gems! This one was a lump of coal for me though.

While I don't mind erotic stories, this one really had no solid conclusion and the hero (who was supposed to be from the Civil War) didn't really talk or act like he was from that time frame. The explanation given of him adapting to the times really didn't ring true for me. Why should he adapt? He's a ghost, only looking for a way to cross over, not come back to life. Made for a distracting read.
