Emily wrote: "Finished my fantasy/sci-fi, now time for some contemporary! Still making up my mind between Dee Henderson & DiAnn Mills."
Ooh, Dee Henderson is good! I read The Protector and loved it! I still have to decide what I want to read for a contemporary . . . I'm looking for something pretty specific, but haven't found it yet. :(

You can do it, girl!!! I haven't read anywhere near as many books as I want to lately . . . but such is life! I'll go through seasons where I read a TON, and seasons where I barely read a few books.

That's a really good one!

I have yet to read a Sherlock Holmes novel.

Classic -- Daddy-Long-Legs
Now onto sci-fi, Out of the Silent Planet. This is the first book I will be reading by C.S. Lewis besides Narnia, so I'm excited!

XD I'm just not really into mysteries.

I like the sequel more.

I was going back through looking at everyone else's lists today and heartily recommend both A Tale of Two Cities and Much Ado About Nothing. Is it your first read for each of them?

Oooh, you have several of my favorites on your list: Kate Seredy (sooo good), Max Brand (not my top favorite Western author but he's up there- he's great), A Tale of Two Cities (I adored it- my favorite Dickens'), Elizabeth George Speare (that woman could write), and of course, the immortal LEWIS and SHAKESPEARE.

I'm on my fantasy - Resistance, by Jaye L Knight. It's a reread, but it's been just long enough since I last read, so I feel like I'm reading it for the first time.

Cool! A couple of these are re-reads from over a decade ago, but most are first time reads.
Brand isn't my fave western author either, but Destry is, in my opinion one of the best western novels ever and his best by far. Louis L'Amour is my favorite, but I also enjoy some Zane Grey too.
I have to admit that I stole the Speare book from someone else's list. :) I was not familiar with either that book or the author. But it sounded like a great story.

I'm hoping to be able to finish up Julius Caesar really quickly, count it as my non-fiction, and start on Enemy Brothers.

I'll have Victoria look it up and get back to you. :)
WHAAA! You got it?!?! YAY! Where did you get it from? If it's from the library, hurry up and read it and send it back so I can order it. LOL! ;)
