But, from the way Rowans character was written (mostly how he talked about his mate) and how their relationship was developed I believe (celeana remarking how there was nothing romantic about them sharing a bed or at all) at the moment, that its platonic. I totally understand where u are coming from in terms of the platonic thing and Rowan's x-mate, and def think that it might take some time for their relationship to develop further BUT I REFUSE TO GIVE UP. Lately, all my ships have been sinking but I will not let this one slip away!!! My 'OTP Inner Radar is going berserk'

But since (before this book book at least) I never could have imagined Celaena completely opening up to some new character about her past, Im hoping that that means he too can over come his past eventually and let himself be free/happy.

I just loved how much Rowan grew as a character, and how much I grew to like him. I love him and Celaena as friends, but I think they would be good in a romantic relationship too. I liked Celaena and Chaol together, but I think he was right in saying that Celaena will always pick him, but Aelin will not. I also don't think Dorian and Celaena will work out romantically (I never did, from the beginning). So, I hope that Aelin and Rowan could grow to be something romantic. Or, Sam will turn out to be alive and they'll get together!

Yeah for a while i was secretly hoping that Sam would come back (bc his death was mysterious and we never actually see him being explicitly killed). But i just dont think it fits in the plot anymore and she has already sorta moved on (cry-at least as much as possible) and the plot has changed.

I think Celaena is definitely a growing character, and I think she's going to become a really cool character in the next couple books. I'm kind of over Chaol and Dorian though.

hi! i´m new in the group... but as many of you... actually i´m shipping rowan and aiyn!i used to like chaol so much, but i remember something that my grandma says... something like "if u want the rose, you want the thorn" and is more than obvious that chaol can´t face what celeana really is... but rowan... <3!
he´s like her, love all the parts of celaena. So, i finally think that they have something deeper... i kind of bond that could be like parabatai or a true mate (chaol isn´t that for celeana and a voice in my head says that rowan was confused about her x-mate) don´t know, may be you can have more than a mate in a millenary life or he was confused... whatever.
The fact is that they will be together, like bros, like friends, like lover probably cause, let´s face it. After rowan, chaol is like a little which isn´t able to protect ailyn!

I think Chaol and Rowan will be friends for some reason. Both of them love Aelin and are dedicated to her. I don't think they'll be jealous of ezch other or anything.However, I think Aedion is probably going to try to maul Rowan's face for that blood oath, considering how possessive he is lol

and rowan and chaol friends? i don´t know. Just because in a part of the book Rowan seems to be omm jelous, may be chocked or angry when celaena tells him about his "handsome kitty-cat friend" and... rowan is territorial with the girl ;)
And Chaol taking kindly to someone like that? He'd get all depressed and upset and not really be all around friendly, I think.
I think Chaol would feel inferior to Rowan at first because he has a huge inferiority complex to overcome due to his parents being assholes to him his whole life. But once they get to know each other for real things might change for the better :)Rowan might be territorial, but his thing with Celaena is completely platonic, at least for now.
