Quarterly Read-a-thon Friday 2nd June - Sunday 4th June 2017
Saturday's total was a bit better than Friday's. I read 72 pages, giving me a total of 93 pages so far.
I haven't really been keeping track of days, but my overall total so far:The Bands of Mourning 149 pages
The Gathering Storm 17 pages
I'd like to make note that The Gathering Storm is one of those massive paperback versions whose pages are probably at least double the size of other books, with a smaller font too. Damn that word count isn't taken into account lol!

How are you enjoying Brandon's writing?
I watched a course of his writing lectures at BYU and found him quite fascinating after doing some reading about his personal life later. That being said, I find the whole state of Utah quite fascinating haha.
I still haven't read anything of his as I'm not big on Fantasy (I will eventually), but I know he's renowned for his lengthy publishings!
So due to the fact that I get distracted during reading and often end up staring out the window as my mind wanders (and succumbing to a two hour nap yesterday), I've only read 185 pages so far.Hoping to make some serious gains today!

This particular book is in Borrow Box, and the book has been downloaded in 63 parts, so I assumed 63 chapters, but no! As I mentioned earlier in this post, one part doesn't always equal one chapter.
However, the Borrow Box does have that nice little "clock" like feature with percentage read shaded in! So far, I've "read" about 8%.
So 752*8 / 100 = 60 pages. :) Thank you!

I've been reading Sanderson for ages, I'm almost (though not quite yet) through the bulk of his body of work and I absolutely love it! On the other hand, I am a massive fantasy fan, so I may be biased haha.
He seems to dream up the most amazing worlds -most of his series are set in their own world with their own magic system and their own characters (and often also species/creatures as well) and even for a lot of the longer books I've found reading them to be quite quick because something is always happening and you need to know what's going to happen next.
Note: The Gathering Storm is book 12 of the Wheel of Time, so I wouldn't recommend it at all without reading the rest of the series which is ridiculously massive. If you're looking at reading Sanderson a great place to start is the Mistborn series, book 1 is The Final Empire :)
Real life has interrupted my reading time so only 120 pages so far for me.

Hi all - my final total pages count was 559I read two books.
Love, Lies and Linguine by Hilary Spiers - 5 stars - started on page 155 - number of pages in book was 432, so balance read was 277
Then I have just finished Murder in Murloo by Brigid George - 4 stars - 282 pages
277 + 282 = 559

Managed to read 60 pages of Liverpool Angels: A gripping saga of love and bravery during the First World War today in amongst school prep and other things. Grand total = 310 pages.
Pretty low in comparison to some, but I'm fairly pleased with this effort considering it's been a busy RL weekend. :)
Most likely final total, unless I manage a chapter of my audio-book tonight, not that that'll add much!
started and finished The Florentine Bridge by AA Vanessa Carnevale. 301 pages.this app is appalling. will log in tomorrow and add up the pages.

A busy but enjoyable day of reading (in between preparing two tests for school). Managed to finish: First Tests: Great Australian Cricketers And The Backyards That Made Them by steve cannane as well as fully read two short ones: The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho and Black & Blue by James Patterson. I have also commenced: Two Wings of a Nightingale: Persian Soul, Islamic Heart by Jill Worrall.The weekend thus gave me a chance to also make inroads into the Winter Challenge - a bonus!
