Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments He smiled when she said this. The giddy feeling he got whenever he kissed her was rampant in his body. Filling his mind, chest and limbs. He was basically buzzing with the feeling. He had an arm around her waist and his other tracing hearts over her own heart which was beating rapidly. He was smiling down at her when she smirked and carefully rolled over, putting her on top of him. Tomb smiled down at him and chase looked up at her. He gave her a wink and pulled her into him. He pecked her on the lips bed then slid back. She carefully eased himself onto him. It didn't hurt and he found that a day of rest had done a lot for him as far as recovery went. He held her as she nuzzled his neck, giving a purr as she did so, making chase giggle.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase smiled when she mentioned going for a walk. It had been forever since he got to do some kind of activity that was actually allowed. Better yet, he'd get to do it with Tomb. Chase was actually excited for such a simple activity. Maybe the boredom had really made him appreciate the little things. Laying in bed all day doing nothing will really do that to you. "I would absolutely love to go on a walk with you tomorrow baby. Can we do it at sunset to the beach? It's really pretty at that time of day and I really love watching the sun set." He responded. He traced more hearts on her back and held her close. It seemed that these opportunities to just be with each other were so rare now. Ever since Dante's attack, things had been pretty crazy.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "I love you too baby." He responded, looking at her lovingly. She was the cutest when she was all cuddly and lovey. A funny thought came to him as he remembered his first couple interactions with this girl when he first got to camp. How closed off and secretive she was. How dark and intimidating she had been to him. But now she was his little girl, his cute little angel. Oh how times had changed. He smiled at the thought as Tomb kept kissing his chin and cheek. "If your not careful, I'll have to shower you with kisses again." He teased, giving her a mischievous smile. At that she kissed him even more and so he did as promised, peppering her face and neck with kisses.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments As Tomb caught his lips, he lingered and kissed her soft lips for a long moment. He loved these moment with Tomb when he was able to kiss and cuddle her. When she pulled away and smirked at him he winked. She just rolled her eyes like he was the most ridiculous thing she'd ever seen. Seeing this, chase leaned over her trapping tomb against the bed and tickled her. She giggled at first, but soon it turned into full blown laughter with her trying to get him off of her to make him stop. He laughed at her struggles in trying to get away and finally let her free, where she scooted to the other side of the bed to get away from him. He just chuckled and wrapped an arm around tombs waist, dragging her back to him and locking her in a hug, nuzzling her cheek gently.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments He returned her kiss goodnight and held her close as she absentmindedly traced old scars on his chest. Ones from a time that seemed years ago, those scars marked the last time he'd almost died, when a rival had basically clawed out his chest. Tomb had saved him of course, but he had been on the brink of death. She slowly drifted off, snuggling into his body and sighing contentedly. He smiled, keeping his arms around her and holding her close as she slept. Soon, he too trailed off to sleep. As he drifted off, his thoughts became nostalgic as he remembered their past adventures together and how they had gotten along in the beginning. He smiled, remembering how he had played truth or dare with tomb in a tree. The memories relaxed him even more and soon enough, he had drifted off into a deep slumber.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase had awoken and started towards the kitchen, smelling the delicious beginnings of breakfast. He walked to into the kitchen, but before he made it in he heard a small voice telling tomb she wanted her candy. Oh gee, who could that be? He smiled inwardly as rain went on to stammer through an explanation in her small voice that tomb had a secret stash of sweets somewhere. Chase walked in quietly and snuck up on rain, who was on the couch. He grabbed her from behind under the armpits and raised her high in the air saying, "Our secret stash of candy is already in your belly silly goose!" Rain giggled at this and when he fut her down she pulled up her shirt and poked her belly as if trying to find the sweets. Chase just smirked and walked over to tomb, sliding an arm around her waist and kissing her neck. When tomb raised an eyebrow at him, he winked playfully and then took a seat across the counter from her.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase looked at his omelet hungrily and took a bite, it was absolutely delicious. When rain complained about being sleepy, chase replied, "well you could take a nap on the cou-" but he stopped because rain had walked off mid sentence into his and tombs room to presumably go to sleep. She was a simple girl and did what she wanted so chase didn't say anything about it. Instead he gave tomb a glance and raised an eyebrow. She just gave a laugh and shook her head. "I guess I'll stay here and watch rain while you do your chores and stuff. Don't worry, I'll be ready for our walk at the end of the day." He said, turning to her. He wolfed down his omelette and then gave tomb a pouty face until she made him another. "You're the best babe. I love you." He added before he dug into his second omelette.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Once tomb left, chase got up and moved to the couch to watch tv. He flicked through the channels and found that there was nothing good on. Sighing, he got up and went to the drawer where all of the movies they had were kept. He flicked through them, wondering what exactly he would find. As he went through them, he found that most of the movies in the drawer he had seen. Eventually he picked out a movie he had yet to see and slid it into the player. As the tv flickered, processing the new media, chase grabbed a water bottle out of the fridge. Back on the couch, he settled down for his show. It was a movie called a dogs life. As the movie played, rain walked out of their bedroom and said to him, "I no sleep good." And then promptly crawled into his lap and closing her eyes. Chase just cradled her with a smile. Rain was just so precious.

message 561: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase nodded to her and lifted rain, handing her to Nari. He had all of the food packed and a backpack with a towel and other things in it. Then he went back to his room and strapped his knife to his leg. It had been so long since he'd touched the weapon and he was comforted by the weight of it on his leg. Unsheathing it, he examined the leaf shaped blade. Last time he had this on him, he'd been worrying about how big the explosion he was walking into was going to be. He sheathed his knife and walked back out to the living room and grabbed the gear. Just then tomb walked out and glared at him. At first he didn't know why, but then he realized that she wasn't going to let him carry the backpack he'd prepared. "Ah cmon! It's just a backpack!" He complained, but set it down after another glare from tomb.

message 562: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase grabbed the food and then nodded. They stepped outside and tomb grew a set of hawks winds. She wrapped her arms around his waist and shot off into the sky. They flew to the beach and tomb set them down gently. He looked out at the waves and then turned his attention back to his beautiful girl. Tomb was dressed in a cute black dress and her hair undone. She was stunningly beautiful and he absolutely melted inside when she gave him a shy smile. "Baby, you look absolutely amazing tonight." He said, slipping an arm around her waist and giving her little kisses on the neck. She smiled and giggled as he did this, which brought a smile to his face. He always had to smile when she giggled, as it brought a warmth to his chest that he loved to feel. He took her hand and strolled towards the waves, dragging her with him.

message 563: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase thought tomb looked beautiful in her swimsuit as well. He shed his shirt so as to not get it wet before they got in the water. He looked at his bare chest and grimaced at the scars that crisscrossed his body. It probably wasn't very pretty, but he knew tomb wouldn't care about it, as those scars were a result of him risking his life to save her from sailor and captain. He waded into the water with tomb and felt the ocean wash over him. It was cool and salty, giving a sweet relief from the hot sun that was closing in on the horizon. He moved to where tomb had sat down in the water and sat next to her, an arm around her and giving her kisses on the cheek. "Tomb, do you ever wonder about starting a new life, somewhere on the mainland? Do you ever think about maybe finding a spot to settle down?" He asked, just curious to see what her response would be.

message 564: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase studied the horizon with a hard expression. He didn't like tombs pessimistic view on their situation. He had always wanted to live on a ranch someday when he was older. He'd always liked the idea of getting a place that was in the country side and working the land. But tomb made that sound impossible. "Oh, well... I guess it's just a dream then." He said, a hint of sadness in his voice. Of course he didn't expect a normal life, but then again, he did want to have a life. He didn't want to spend all of his life stuck on this island and waiting for dangerous situations to occur. He wanted something nice that he might be able to share with someone, but tomb didn't seem to believe in that. Either she didn't want to, or didn't think it could happen. Chase suspected it was a combination of the two.

message 565: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase smiled at her words, but didn't dare believe them. He knew tomb was just trying to be hopeful for him and that she just wanted him to be happy. Chase knew that this island was the only thing that tomb had ever known and that it meant a lot to her. He knew she had grown up here and had people here that she cared about. How could he expect her to leave with him if it meant leaving behind all she had ever known. Furthermore, how could he ask her to choose between him and her home? He knew tomb loved him, and wanted to be happy with him, but he also knew she wouldn't leave the island. She had too much here. Chase just sighed and held her to him. "Thanks tomb, that means a lot but I could never ask you to do that. I know how much this place means to you and I could never take that from you. My vision for the future is just a hopeless dream and that's all it is." He replied to her, letting his gaze soften as he cast his eyes to the sunset.

message 566: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase knew the second that tomb walked away that he'd ruined their night together. He just had to think about the future and let come out of his stupid mouth. He felt terrible again. It seemed he was always ruining things for them and now he'd gone and done it again. He watched as tomb walked to shore. Instead of going back, he started swimming. He didn't know why, but he started stroking hard towards the horizon, stopping about 100 yards from the shore. Then, taking a deep breath, and grabbing the metal button on his shorts, he turned to metal. He sank like a rock, quickly to the sea floor. It was only about forty feet deep and he got there quickly. The light filtered through the waves, giving an eerie lighting to the water. He looked around at his surroundings and took in the scenery. It was like a whole other world down here. As he sat there, he felt his lungs start to burn inside of him. He gave one glance around, and for a split second, he thought about not going back up. He'd completely ruined their date and made tomb sad. That had never been the goal, but somehow he'd managed it. But he figured if he did stay on the sea floor, Tomb wouldn't feel much better. He kicked hard towards the surface, and turned to flesh and blood. When he breached the water he took a huge gasp of air. He looked around and saw tomb about fifty yards away, swimming furiously towards him. When she saw him, she let up. Before she could say anything, chase said, "I was just looking at the ocean floor. Pretty neat down there. I'm sorry for ruining our date Tomb, I didn't mean to."

message 567: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase swam after her, following in her wake. When they got ashore, tomb didn't say anything to him and grabbed a towel from the bag he'd put together. Chase walked over and got out his own towel. He figured tomb was probably furious with him, especially since she didn't say anything to him. We walked over to the food basked and brought out what he'd packed. For him he'd made a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. some chips, and a brownie. For tomb he had just grabbed a sack of lemons and sugar, as that was all she seemed to eat. He cut up some lemons and set them on a plate with sugar packets and walked over to tomb and offered her the plate. She took the food without saying a word and turned away from him. Chase just hung his head and sat in the sand, eating his sandwich by himself. He wished he could re-do this whole damn date. He'd royally screwed up and it was very apparent. He'd been looking forward to this all day and somehow it had all gone sour. A single tear made its way down his cheek, but he wiped it away quickly. Things had just been so incredibly frustrating lately and it was all starting to get to him. He was not going to make things any worse though by bawling like a baby, so he hid the next few tears and then managed to stop the rest from flowing down his face. He wanted to say something, but just couldn't find the words, so there he sat, regretting even opening his mouth on this date.

message 568: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase felt more tears well up in his eyes when she said that to him. "Baby, the life I want is a life with you." He said to her, placing his arms around her. He felt another tear roll down his cheek, but he didn't stop it. With everything that was going on lately, chase just couldn't keep it together. Being cooped up all day, making tomb angry with him for not recovering, blowing up in the first place, and now ruining their time alone together. He held onto her and let the warmth of her body calm him. "Tomb, I'm sorry for everything lately, I don't know what it is or what is going on but I just seem to be making you mad sometimes. I don't mean to baby, I really don't. I just... everything has been so frustrating with the injury. I'm sorry tomb. I'm really sorry." He finished shakily.

message 569: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase clung to her and drank in her comfort, calming himself with her touch. "You didn't bring me here, the government did. You just showed me how to survive. But I grew a fondness for this place. Everything I did here, I wanted to baby." He responded, staying close to her. It seemed as it he just could not get close enough to her. Steeling himself, chase wiped away his tears and gazed up into her eyes. He saw a profound sadness in them that seemed to make her black eyes even darker. Deciding that she shouldn't feel that way he lifted his lips to hers and kissed her passionately, trying to vanquish the sadness that currently resided in her. He kissed her and when he pulled back just enough to say something, he whispered, "I love you Tomb. I'll follow you anywhere and do anything to make you happy. As long as I'm with you I'll be happy. If you've taught me one thing tomb, it's just that true love doesn't just fill your heart, it fills your body and soul. And I'd never trade that feeling for anything in the world."

message 570: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase smiled at her and just hugged her even more. He was so lucky to have someone that cared about him so much. "Ok baby, thank you. But we have a lot of time before we actually do that. We're both not even twenty! I'm only nineteen and you eighteen. We got time baby. Anyways, want a kiss?" He asked romantically with a mischievous smile. She smiles led and leaned forward but chase stopped her. "Haha, no you dirty birdie, a Hershey kiss!" He said, holding up the chocolate in a fit of laughter. She gave a huff of exasperation and rolled her eyes at him, to which he responded by kissing her square on the lips. He laughed to himself at his own joke and kept kissing tomb, even when she whined he was smothering her.

message 571: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase held tomb close to him, listening to her hum. When she asked him if they were good he responded saying, "of course baby, were good." They stayed like that as the sun dipped below the citizen, watching as the sea swallowed up the giant fiery ball. It was beautiful, streaking the sky different colors like it always did and casting a glowing light that slowly faded from the beach. And as the sun disappeared, the shadows grew longer and longer until they ruled the landscape. As night set in, chase packed up all of their things so they could go back. Tomb threw on the backpack and then wrapped an arm around his waist to which he raised an eyebrow and commented, "someone feeling a little frisky there?" Like she usually did, tomb rolled her eyes and shook head.

message 572: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments ((Oh my goodness it's my turn! Sorry!))

Chase smiled and accepted her kisses and returned them as well. He smiled as she nuzzled him and he cuddled her gently. "Babe, wanna go home so I can kiss you like there's no tomorrow? And I don't mean the Hershey's kind." He said wiggling his eyebrows and giving her multiple winks. Tomb just laughed at his antics and wrapped him up even tighter. The stars were just peeking out from the light as things got darker. The fact that they were away from the cities and there wasn't much light pollution made the stars stand out that much more. Like vividly bright little pinpricks, dotting the sky and lighting up the night. Even more impressive was the moon, that had just risen above the tree line that was on the edge of the beach. Like a spotlight in the sky, it shown bright with a twinge of silver. Tomb, bathed in the silvery light looked incredibly stunning. "You look beautiful tonight baby." He said as he held her.

message 573: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase smiled when tomb dropped her leg over him and kissed his neck. It made his cheeks warm and his head giddy. "Yes you have told me you love me, but it never gets old. Have I told you that I love you?" He said kissing her forehead and the tip of her nose. "Because I love you very much." He added, kissing her cheeks and finally her lips. He held her close as they lay there looking up at the stars, tomb partially on top of chase and chases arms around her. It was truly special, laying on such a beautiful beach with his one and only. He wouldn't have traded the world for it. "You know, the only thing more beautiful than the view is you." He said, meaning every word of it. The way the silvery light reflected off of her black hair and shone silver in her eyes. Her pale complexion basically glowing against the dark backdrop.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Lonely is the night when you find yourself alone, when your demons come to light and your mind is not your own. For some reason those Billy Squire lyrics played through his mind as he lay there, but somehow he knew by thinking those, he was reminding himself he was no longer alone and tomb was there to help get him through anything. As he lay there, more songs flashed through his mind. Sometimes he liked to think about what it would be like if his life was a movie, and he got to choose the songs that played in specific moments. He felt that he could totally make a really good sound track to his life. In fact, as he lay here on the beach with tomb, a song came to mind. It was the only song he'd ever heard tomb sing. When she'd saved him. Chase took a deep breath and then in a melodic voice sang, "A long long time ago, I can still remember how that music used to make me smile. And I knew if I had my chance, I could make those people dance and maybe they'd be happy for a while..." he didn't know why, but the song seemed like the perfect choice for this moment. Maybe it was the personal meaning behind it, maybe it was the bittersweet melody. Who knew, it just seemed to work.

message 575: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase gave a sweet smile when tomb started to sing along with him, her soft, sweet voice accenting his deed, rich one. By the time they reached the last bit of the song he noticed tomb crying. But they just seemed to be tears that had wanted to spill long ago but had been held back. He wiped her tears from her cheek and started the last few versus. "I went down to the sacred store, where I'd heard the music years before, but the men there said the music wouldn't play..." he sang sorrowfully, as that was how it was meant to be sung. When he finished, and tombs voice faded off on the last few words, chase said, "your voice is like an angels my love." He wasn't sure she heard him though for her breathing had become deep and even with her eyes closed. So he just lay back and stare at the stars with her pulled close to him.

message 576: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments As the moon rose higher and the sky and they lay there on the beach, chase took it all in. The repetitive crashing of the waves, the salty air, the bright moon and stars and tombs breathing. He let his senses drink in their surroundings, letting the serenity of it all overcome him. It was incredibly late and almost high tide. It was time for them to go, but tomb was asleep on his shear. He gently got up, wrapped the blanket around her, grabbed their stuff and lifted her up. He started the walk back to camp. It was a decent walk from the beach to camp, but it wasn't unmanageable. As he walked into their house, he set tomb in on the bed and then dropped their gear off in the entry way. Deciding he was a little too tired to shower and change before bed, he just climbed in next to tomb and put an arm around her. Though she was still asleep, she automatically pressed herself against him. Chase closed his eyes and waited for sleep to come.

message 577: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase slept in a little bit and woke up just as tomb had finished her breakfast. Chase remembered the night before and a warm sense filled his body. Last night may have started off a little rough but it had ended perfectly. She told him she had some chores to do and chase groaned internally. That meant he had another day of boredom to overcome but, with any luck, maybe tomb would finish early or she would allow him to wander around the camp. He got up and showered, washing the salt from his body and then toweling off and throwing on some new clothes. Chase noticed that it was a beautiful sunny day outside and was happy that it was so. It he was let out to walk around and stuff, it would be the perfect weather. All of the memories from last night, the weather for the day, and the fact that his wounds were feeling better really put him in a good mood. As he walked into the kitchen he wrapped an arm around tomb and kissed her for a long moment before she left. "Have fun baby, and I'll be waiting for you to get back I guess. Love you." He said.

message 578: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments The gardens! After being locked up and all laid up in bed, he was excited to get out and do something. He watched tomb go and then threw on some jeans and an old t-shirt, making sure that he had on clothes for work. He strapped his knife to his leg and off he went, walking as quick as he could to the gardens. He'd never really been in the gardens but he'd seen them from afar. He was aware that Nari usually tended to the gardens, and greeted her with a smile as he walked into the rows of plants. "Hi Nari! Tomb told me I could help out a little here. Anything I can do?" He asked. Chase had never interfaced much with Nari, but she seemed to be a shy individual, never meeting his eyes when he spoke to her. "Yes chase, we need to do some weeding. Would you be ok to do that?" She responded, keeping her eyes on the plants she was watering. He nodded and then set to work, crawling through the rows and pulling up weeds.

message 579: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase worked hard as he weeded, and when he finished that he was set to work harvesting some plant roots for medical purposes. By the end of his shift he was sweating and covered in dirt. It was a grimy feeling that he definitely was going to wash off later. When he finished, he said by to Nari and the walked back to the house. He got a quick shower in and washed off all of the sweat and grime, scrubbing extra hard to get it all. When he finished, Chase was feeling extremely hungry so he decided a trip to the mess hall was in order. He got dressed in shorts and a t-shirt l, then headed out the door. When he entered the mess hall he saw Jefferson and Tomb arguing in harsh whispers. Chase frowned but figured it was just some scheduling issues. He ordered his fish and chips and then went over to them. Propping his dinner on the table and saying, "what's up guys?" Startling them both.

message 580: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase was definitely taken off guard when he heard the news. A stomach virus? That didn't sound very good, and it must've been bad if tomb was still throwing up. "What!? Why does she have to go to the states for that?" He asked, wondering just how bad it would be. Jefferson explained that the doctors on mainland would be able to treat her more effectively, suffering many hisses from tomb. "Well.. I guess you should go then. You definitely aren't ok if you're still throwing up, and you won't be gone for that long I'm sure. It's best anyways because you really have grown weak over the past weeks. When will she leave?" He asked Jefferson. He knew tomb thought she wasn't going, but hearing she had a virus and was still throwing up made Chase worried. He was making her go no matter what.

message 581: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase just looked at Jefferson and an understanding passed between them. Tomb was going wether she liked it or not. If she had a stomach virus, well than chase was going to ensure that she got the best treatment possible. He nodded and then tuned to follow tomb back to the house. She had about a fifty yard lead on her so he just trailed her back to the house. When he walked through the door, tomb was on the. Ouch with her arms crossed, staring at him hard. "Aw cmon baby. You need to get this thing figured out sooner rather than later. And if a trip to the states will solve it than I think you should go! I'll even go with you if you'd like. It's just for a little bit and it will help you eat again. Cmon tomb, it's hard for me to see you like this and it can't feel good. Just let Jefferson take you to get checked out." He pleaded with her gently, kneeling next to her and taking her hand.

message 582: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments ((So sorry! I have been swamped with captains practices, work, and watching my siblings!))

Chase found this answer satisfactory. As long as Tomb agreed to go to the states he was happy. And how much could two days really hurt? It would allow chase to recover more and it would let tomb prepare for another trip back to the US. He knew she didn't like it there because people looked at her funny and were intimidated by her, but Chase would take some scared looks over continually throwing up any day. He sat down next to tomb on the couch and put his arm around her, holding her close. "Alright baby. That sounds good to me. Don't worry, I can go with if you would like, and Jefferson will take good care of you while your there. It won't be so bad Tomb, it's just a checkup and some medicine right?" He said, totally downplaying what was probably going to happen.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments (Aw man, that's tough.))

"Of course ill come tomb. Maybe we'll get to go sight seeing again! It will all go over ok, and I'll be with you every step of the way ok?" He replied, kissing her forehead. Tomb pressed herself closer to him and chase welcomed it, keeping her wrapped up. He reached over and flicked the tv on with the remote. What came on was an old favorite of theirs. The first time Tomb had come over to his house, they had watched supernatural on the couch. Now, what seemed like years later, the same exact episode came on. Chase smiled at the happy coincidence and in the back of his mind wondered if she remembered it too. It was something that Chase hadn't tried to memorize, it just imprinted itself in his head.

message 584: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase smiled and gave her a squeeze. He was admittedly worried about the trip to the states and hoped that it wouldn't be too long. He was also worried about tomb. Stomach viruses were bad news as far as he knew and it seemed that they were quite dangerous. What if this thing seriously hurt Tomb? Chase shook his head. He couldn't think like that. He couldn't allow himself to be pessimistic. They continued watching supernatural as tombs finger followed the intricate cross crossing scars on his chest under his shirt. It tickled slightly, but to chase it felt nice. As they watched, chase occasionally would kiss tomb on top of the head or on the cheek. Here in this moment he felt relaxed, the bad thoughts put out of mind.

message 585: by Mac (new)

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments When tomb had him feel her stomach, chase freaked out a little. "Ok tomb, two days is too long, were leaving now." He said and ran to his room and started packing bags and emerging with two backpacks full of stuff. Tomb didn't protest as much as he expected as he dragged her out the door, but that also could've been because she was too weak. He found Jefferson and quickly showed him what tomb had showed himself. Jefferson got a grim look on his face and said, "we need to go now. There is a helicopter over here, let's go." Chase hurried tomb along, but she seemed to be zoning out a little. That could not be good. He scrambled onto the helicopter and helped tomb up quickly as he frantically worried about what was happening to tomb.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase was absolutely terrified as the aircraft lifted off the ground. Tomb was zoning out and the belt under her skin seemed to throb and writhe. "We need to get her out of here now! We gotta help her!" He steamed. He looked around wildly looking for something to do to help her. Jefferson tried to pull him back so the doctor could get through and succeeded after receiving a few blows for the effort. Chase struggled to get back to tombs side but Jefferson whispered harshly in his ear, "There is no use crowding her and doing nothing to help. Let the doc look at her and do what he can." Chase realized this made sense but he didn't calm down. Tombs eyes were only half opened and it looked as if she was barely registering anything that was happening around her.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments They had landed when tomb had suddenly jerked out of her state. For the past hour she had been in a daze of just barely being awake and to see her jerk awake and fight the restraints that had been placed on her was a relief. Doctors immediately sedated her though, much to chases discontent. He was standing on the roof of a hospital where the helicopter had landed. He wasn't allowed to follow tomb as they were already starting to check her out and swap theories as to what was happening to tomb. So chase just stood and watched as she was rolled of in a flurry of medical terms and instruments. Chase hoped to God that tomb pulled through whatever was happening to her. The camp needed her, he needed her.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Hearing what limited time he had to talk to tomb, Chase sprinted off towards the gurney that held her frail body. When he got there, the doctors all backed off a respectful distance and he peered down at tomb who seemed to have regained a little bit of consciousness. He gazed at her, concern filling his face as tomb looked back at him weakly. "Oh tomb, how do we always end up in a situation like this. One of these times we won't be so lucky, but I pray that that day is a long ways off. You've gotta pull through this one baby. The camp needs their leader tomb. The world needs you to be its super hero babe. I need you to be with me Tomb. I love you." He said. He leaned close to her and kissed her nose and wrapped his arms around her, but he was soon being dragged away by doctors and orderlies as tomb was rolled off to the operating room.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments They had taken Tomb away to the room and as chase watched her go only one thought went through his mind. Please let her be ok, please let her come through this. Long seconds slowly ticked away into minutes which slowly morphed into hours. The waiting was easily the worst part and when the doctors finally emerged from surgery, chase was on them in a flash asking for the results. "Well kid, we think it went all right. We removed the damn worm from her stomach, but that thing did a lot of damage. We patched her up best as we could and if everything heals alright then we should be ok, but we'll just have to see." Responded the doctor.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments After the assessment was given to him, chase swallowed hard and nodded. Things were looking a little grim, but there was a decent chance that she'd be fine and they had the best doctors in the world to attend to her. Chase was told he could see her now, so he ran to her room and swung open her door. Tomb was in her bed with a huge bandage over her stomach and struggling to sit up. Chase rushed over to her and gently calmed her so she no longer tried to sit up. "Hey baby, it's. Leigh's, it's just me. You're gonna be alright, just a stupid parasite." He said soothingly, holding her hand and placing a series of kisses on her face. She looked so very tired and weak, but chase was happy that whatever had been wrong with her was being fixed.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase felt hot tears roll down his cheeks. What tomb was saying was what he'd always dreamed of doing. And now she wanted to do that with him. Chase nodded and pressed his lips to hers. "Whatever you want baby. Whatever you want. Don't worry, I'm not scheduled for another injury for a while." He joked wryly. Tomb just rolled her eyes and laid back a little more relaxed. Chase drew up a chair and sat right by her bed, laying his head next to hers. "Don't worry baby, you'll be feeling better in no time. There's nothing to worry about anymore an when we get back to camp you'll feel way better." He added soothingly, tracing hearts on the back of her hand.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase smiled at tomb's joy. It was good to see her so happy and bright again. "We can do whatever we want love. You and me." He replied.he wrapped tomb up in a hug extremely carefully and gave her a light squeeze, hoping to reassure her. It was so nice to be able to feel free of burdens. Now he had to just make sure that tomb recovered correctly. "How are you feeling tomb? Do you hurt too bad or does anything feel wrong? The doctors removed a parasite from your stomach and it wreaked havoc on your internals, so if anything feels wrong, tell me." He cautioned. He wanted to make sure that she was going to be ok.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "Nah, if you would have fed it more it just would've gotten bigger. Don't worry babe, you don't need to be sorry." Chase said, putting her worries to rest. "And as for where to live, we could go anywhere. I was always fond of Idaho and Wyoming, but santa fe is nice as well. Honestly love, wherever you are is where I wanna be." He added, allowing her to snuggle up close to him. Chase felt a familiar euphoric feeling come over him that always accompanied her snuggling up with him. He smiled widely and let his mind wander a little bit to once they got out of here. He assumed the government would have to give them a house and money, because they pretty much saved their asses with the ship thing.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments When Jefferson looked confused, chase gave a little look to tomb. Some silent communication went between the two of them and chase fixed Jefferson with a stare. "We are going back to camp, but not to stay. We're going to pack a few things, say our good byes and come back to the mainland to live out our lives. I mean, that's what's supposed to happen to normal people, so we're doing that. Somewhere with a mountain or hills. Wherever we choose. And I expect the government will cover everything as far as costs go. Because if they don't, they will have two very pissed off super humans to deal with." Chase explained, leaving no room for objection. This was happening, it was just wether or not they would have to fight someone to do it. But chase suspected that Jefferson knew there wasn't much use in trying to stop them.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments With that, Jefferson walked out. A week of recovery didn't sound too bad, but what was he going to do with all this time on the mainland. He guessed that he would spend most of it here with tomb, but he did want to see where they were. It had been so dark the night before when they had arrived on the helicopter that chase hadn't seen where they had really landed. But right now he was snuggled up with his tomb and there was nothing in the world that would get him away from her. Her body fit so perfectly with his and her presence so comfortable that it was as if they were made for each other. So he laid there with his tomb and asked, "so the mountains or the hills huh? I like either. What about you?"

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase was excited by the prospect of being able to start a life with Tomb here on the mainland. "Then hills it is my love. Rolling hills and beautiful expanses of knolls and plains. It will be ours Tomb, it will be something we can build together." He said happily. Of course chase would miss camp, but it would be a little easier to let go for him than it would be for Tomb. He hadn't even been there for a year whereas Tomb had probably been there all her life. Chase knew it was going to be hard for her, but he also knew that it was time for a new beginning. Chase thought about all of these things as he lay next to tomb and talked with her. He also wondered about what it would be like to no longer be in constant danger or training for a fight. Maybe him and Tomb could go to a college together, or get jobs. Whatever happened, it only mattered that he was with her.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments "How about I cook then, and of course we can have a pet baby. Whatever you want." He crooned, listening as she talked about visiting camp. He smiled at the thought of their friends back at camp. When he snapped back to present, tomb was snoring softly in his embrace looking peaceful as ever. He kissed her forehead and rested her head in the crook of his arm. Soon a doctor came in and gave a general report on tombs condition. She was doing ok and her vitals were good, but they had yet to identify the parasite that had inhabited her. It was larger than anything they had seen and seemed to be able to live without a host. Interesting, but he just was thankful that Tomb was doing ok.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase woke up slowly as Tomb slowly prodded his stomach, trying to rouse him from his slumber. His eyes slid open drowsily and he blinked a few times before tombs face came into view, but when it did he smiled gently at her. She stared at him intently for a moment and then lay her head against his chest and gave him a soft squeeze. "Morning beautiful, are you feeling ok? We should probably get you some breakfast huh?" He said, as she peered up at him, her face hidden against his chest so it was just her eyes that he saw looking at him. This made chase laugh a little, because she looked so damn cute when she did that and chase could hardly help but let his insides go all mushy and lovey when she was being so darn cute.

Mac K (mac_k99) | 1738 comments Chase looked at her suspiciously. It would not be the first time that Tomb had lied about eating, but he figured that since she was in a hospital so the doctors would be monitoring her closely. When Tomb asked what he wanted he got a wide smile. "You know, i have been craving something lately and I really would love to eat it. I mean, Jesus, what does a guy have to do to get a basket of fish and chips around here." He replied, barely containing his laughter. Tomb should have seen that one coming a mile away, as it seemed to be all he ever ordered. In fact, it was the first meal that he had ever ordered after meeting Tomb. Why he remembered that fact, he didn't know but for some reason it was an important memory to him.
