Ecotopia did start off interesting but I have to be honest, I got fairly bored with it. It's supposed to be more of a satire and I enjoyed parts of it but a lot of it was just dry for me.

message 1230: by Mama X (new)

Mama X (mamax) @Joann I like can read a little of just about any genre. The only ones I have no interest in are erotica or what I call cheesy romance. Sex scenes are fine. Just don't like a book for centered around it. Not a big fan of cowboy westerns or thrillers either, and usually only read horror around Halloween but have been known to read one now and then when it's out of season. I'll check out the list. All the lists I found had a bunch of books that were "good to read on vacation". As if there's a book that's not good for vacation...? Lol

I did. There were only two names I could find. Charles Dickens and Caitlin Doughty. I might read Smoke Gets in Your Eyes And Other Lessons from the Crematory by Caitlin Doughty or From Here to Eternity Traveling the World to Find the Good Death by Caitlin Doughty . Just trying to see if there are any lighter books than ones about death and stuff... HOWEVER! My book I'm writing has to do with life and death, so maybe it will help my writing!
