Actually,I just ordered some more Victoria Holt books.

I really enjoyed Belong to Me, it took me by surprise b/c I tend to only read Historical Fiction and not current "tear jerkers", but I really enjoyed the different characters and story lines in Belong to Me and to be honest,I did cry at a few parts and it felt good to cry at a good book!

I read on her site that she is working on a third, but I can't find out any other information about it. I so want to read it!

Anna Anderson (annaanderson) | 130 comments Lyn M and Kathy, I was very pleased with Belong to Meand I will p/u Love Walked Inthis week. I hope she does come out with a third book, I am sure it will be a great read as well.

Belong to Mewas just such a great surprise b/c I went into it with very few expectations, I just wanted a little break from all the historical fiction I have been reading and it turned out to be such a GREAT story and I found so much truth in what was said throughout the book. I found myself relating to all of the characters in some way either through something they said or something they did (yes, even Piper) which was interesting.

message 1017: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jennifertudor) | 145 comments I just finished Elizabeth & Leicester: Power, Passion, Politics by Sarah Gristwood, a non-fiction about Elizabeth I & Robert Dudley. It was a great non-fiction read and I'd highly recommend it to anyone interested in the time and especially 'the couple'.

Also finished up the Fables graphic novel series (1st Book - Fables: Legends in Exile) by Bill Willingham and read the first three of his spin-off series, Jack of Fables (1st book - Jack of Fables, Volume 1: The (Nearly) Great Escape). I'd also recommend this series. It's all of our favorite fairytale characters in one place, living in modern-day New York. Love it :)

And finally, just started The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. So far, so good.

message 1018: by Anna (new)

Anna Anderson (annaanderson) | 130 comments I am currently reading The Tenth Gift, which has the potential to be really good, I just cannot sit still long enough to get really into it. I don't know what is going on with me today...must be the gorgeous fall weather (FINALLY) that we are having here in N.C. Oh well, let's just blame it on that!

Kathy (readr4ever) | 300 comments All Clear All Clear (Blackout, #2) by Connie Willis

This book is part two of the story, which began in Blackout by Connie Willis and came out last February. It involves her time-traveling historians, whom I absolutely love.

If you enjoyed the Lady Julia Grey series, you would probably enjoy The Lady Emily series, which starts with And Only to Deceive. I have read the whole series and they are shorter books than the Lady Julia books, but they are good...the new one comes out tomorrow!
