What are you reading?

I read on her site that she is working on a third, but I can't find out any other information about it. I so want to read it!

Belong to Mewas just such a great surprise b/c I went into it with very few expectations, I just wanted a little break from all the historical fiction I have been reading and it turned out to be such a GREAT story and I found so much truth in what was said throughout the book. I found myself relating to all of the characters in some way either through something they said or something they did (yes, even Piper) which was interesting.
That's good to know because i have brought that book not too long ago. I think it was like $1.99 at B&N

Anna - I'm glad you liked it.
Donna - it is really good!!

Today I am about to start Skulduggery Pleasant: Dark Days - Derek Landy and I am also listening to The Power of Five:- Raven's Gate - Anthony Horowitz

Also finished up the Fables graphic novel series (1st Book - Fables: Legends in Exile) by Bill Willingham and read the first three of his spin-off series, Jack of Fables (1st book - Jack of Fables, Volume 1: The (Nearly) Great Escape). I'd also recommend this series. It's all of our favorite fairytale characters in one place, living in modern-day New York. Love it :)
And finally, just started The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. So far, so good.

I guess I can count my thesis books:
Telling Stories in Book Clubs: Women Teachers and Professional Development
Literature Circles: Voice and Choice in Book Clubs & Reading Groups
Applications of Social Research Methods to Questions in Information and Library Science

Last night I finished Skulduggery Pleasant: Dark Days - Derek Landy. Now I am gonna read Skulduggery Pleasant: Mortal Coils - Derek Landy.

Dracula by Bram Stoker and Samurai William: The Englishman Who Opened the East by Giles Milton
Looks like everyone is reading good stuff!

I am currently reading Prayers for Sale, which is turning out to be a good little read!

Finished Housewife In Trouble - Alison Penton Harper. Will now read The Jester - James Patterson & Andrew Gross.
Taking a break from The Jester - James Patterson & Andrew Gross. Going to try The Book of Lies - Brad Meltzer.

Anna, I really enjoy the Lady Julia Grey series by Raybourn. I just finished the latest one, Dark Road to Darjeeling a couple of weeks ago.

This book is part two of the story, which began in Blackout by Connie Willis and came out last February. It involves her time-traveling historians, whom I absolutely love.

If you enjoyed the Lady Julia Grey series, you would probably enjoy The Lady Emily series, which starts with And Only to Deceive. I have read the whole series and they are shorter books than the Lady Julia books, but they are good...the new one comes out tomorrow!

If you enjoyed the Lady Julia series, you would probably enjoy the Lady Emily series by Tasha Alexander, it starts with And Only to Deceive. I have read that whole series and the books are not quite as long as the Lady Julia books, but it is a great historical fiction suspense series as well. The new one comes out tomorrow...guess where I will be!!

Not sure I am in mood for The Book of Lies - Brad Meltzer, but am reading Broken - Karin Slaughter

Finally finished up on The Lotus Eaters and now finishing up on The Forgotten Garden and then off to read Little Bee. So that would cover the rest of Oct and Nov.
I gotta finish this thesis and so far I got about 15 pages!

Actually,I just ordered some more Victoria Holt books.
I really enjoyed Belong to Me, it took me by surprise b/c I tend to only read Historical Fiction and not current "tear jerkers", but I really enjoyed the different characters and story lines in Belong to Me and to be honest,I did cry at a few parts and it felt good to cry at a good book!
