So if I signed up for the whole challenge do I have to sign up on every thread for all the challenges?

Question: So say I read a book for 400+ pages.. can I use that same book to make a line going up and going right?
If I read a book for say the 400+ pages on here, can that also count for the Clean Your Shelf? Thanks and count me in for this one

Rather than having to read 10 books, you only need to read 9.

"You can combine challenges - you can read one book which will count for all three reading challenges (but you can only count it once in each individual challenge)"

I have a question for the 'New Release'... it says published in the last 4 weeks / Read an ARC. Does the 'read an arc' means I can read any arc from whatever year?

It means you can read a book that's not yet published. So if you had a book that wasn't released until october 2014. you could use that, becaue it's publish date is after the first of June 2014.

An ARC is an 'Advanced Reader Copy' - this is a book that has not yet been published, but the publisher will release some pre-release copies to people who will read them and review them prior to the book's release date (as a way to publicise and drum up interest in the book).
One of the main places to get ARCs at the moment is NetGalley - www.netgalley.com which is free to join, and offers ebook ARCs ☺

Yes. Reading a book that counts on here, can also count on 'clean your shelf' and 'hangman', with regards to 'clean your she;f' ou'll just need to make sure that the book is on your shef ☺

I would like to read The Selection. So does that count for new author and mods favorite or do I just pick the one I want it to count for?
Taylor I think it can only count for one so you'd pick which you want it to count for. And I also would like to read the Selection, would you mind to buddy read or were you hoping to read it yourself?

Dusty book (It's on a few peoples shelves in the challenge thread.)

just a heads up for both of you it ends in a huge cliff hanger so I would try to get The Elite if you could!
Also how do I start a thread? Myself and a girl named Noella are going to read the second book in the summer i turned pretty series.

This is a month long challenge, running from the 1st of July until the 31st of July.
All points earned in this challenge will go towards your total MMC points.
For this challenge, we have a 5x5 grid with different descriptions in.
The aim of the game is to read books that match the descriptions.
If the boxes you tick off make a line, you get bonus points.

23. Retelling (Read a book based on an older story. Examples - Cinder - Queen of Hearts - Dorothy Must Die - Sisters Red - Alice in Zombieland)
24. Group bookshelf. (Read a book from the groups bookshelf. None there that you want to read? Set a buddy read up to get it added!)
25. Mods favorite (Read any book from the ones below. If there's a book there without it's sequels, and you want to read a sequel, that's fine.) (hide spoiler)]

If you want to read a sequel to any of those books, and want it to count for that block, that's fine.
Ways to earn points:
• Each book read will be worth one point.
• Each book that was read with a buddy, will also be one point.
• Each line you get, will give you 5 extra points.
Lines can be made by reading 5 books downwards, 5 books sideways, and 5 books diagonally.
Rules:
• Books must be read from the 1st of July to the 31st of July.
• You can only use a book once.
• Books must be over 100 pages to count.
• 1 reread allowed
• Buddy read must take place in our group to count.
