On the Edge by Ilona AndrewsI've been on a long Ilona Andrews reading spell. I've
had to dig deep into their bookshelves to find more books. This is the beginning of The Edge series, and it had been published around the same time as their first Kate Daniels novel.

Bayou Moon by Ilona AndrewsThis is the second in The Edge series, and I liked this more than it's predecessor. It's not necessary to read the debut novel before this one.
My review -- https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Fate's Edge by Ilona AndrewsThis doesn't feel like a pure urban fantasy, but more like a crime caper overlaid with some fantasy elements.

Derek wrote: "Peggyzbooksnmusic, I'm making my way right now through Le Morte d'Arthur, a more basic telling of the King Arthur story. Interesting stuff!"As much as I love the Arthurian legend have never read Le Morte d'Arthur: King Arthur and the Legends of the Round Table by Thomas Malory. Years ago read The Once and Future King by T.H. White. Very long but remember enjoying his version of King Arthur.
Derek wrote: "Peggyzbooksnmusic, I'm making my way right now through Le Morte d'Arthur, a more basic telling of the King Arthur story. Interesting stuff!"My one effort at this one was decades ago. I kinda got lost in the so many red with gold , or was it red gold?
If no one is in a rush, I would like to buddy up for a re try.
Just put down The Teutonic Knights. A classic Henryk Sienkiewicz only longer. Certainly Polish nationalism in bold letters.

i don't know that one. who is the writer? is it a series detective or a stand-alone? i enjoy a good puzzle mystery.
Derek wrote: "It's a stand-alone classic by Israel Zangwill. If you're into those, another one I recommend even more is The Mystery of the Yellow Room by Gaston Leroux."
Thx, I’ll look for them.
For this month, our book club is currently reading This Tender Land by William Krueger. At first I was a bit skeptical but as I kept on reading, I grew to love the story especially the characters. Set in the early 30’s, a group of young orphans had to use every ounce of hope as they tread through the Gilead (think Grapes of Wrath + American Dirt )I am now interested in reading other books by this author. His writing is so captivating it pulls me right into the story.

One of my Goodreads author friends compared this to The Grapes of Wrath, The Odyessy & Huck Finn.

This is the only installment so far in the series that's written in Maud's POV. All the others have been from Dina's perspective. This can be read as a standalone.
