I enjoyed your review. As someone who believes that the Constitution guarantees broad civil rights, I am supportive of whistleblowers, like Snowden, who put themselves at great risk to get vital information to the public. It will always be in the interest of the government to paint these people as traitors while also using everything in their power to punish them (Alien & Sedition Act). I was a bit underwhelmed with the biography, compared to No Place to Hide: Edward Snowden, the NSA, and the U.S. Surveillance State, which I read a few years ago. I thought it was a bit heavy on his youth and light on his time as a contractor and his discovery of the surveillance state.
@ Ryan, thanks.I know that the whole Snowden affair is a complex one, and of course, he heavily edited content in his autobiography. I do have small doubts because I don't know the full extent of the information he actually disclosed. So it would be helpful to read some more of the matter. Now, if only I could get a physical copy of the Greenwald book since my public library won't re-open til June...

I would definitely encourage you to read it. (I've had similar problems with books I'd like to get from the library!) The Intercept is one of the organizations he worked with to publish the information he gathered. They have a Snowden archive which you can access here: https://theintercept.com/collections/...
These articles will give you a more detailed look at the extent of the spying the US government was engaged in.
Thanks, @Ryan!I noticed that Glen Greenwald is part of The Intercept crew. My library has an e-book version too, but I'm going to hold out for a physical copy for now.

I can’t make the links to your reviews work, MM. I loved both The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle and Educated. I’d enjoy seeing your thoughts if you can fix the links.
Even for Jeanette Winterson this is an unusual, funny, thought-provoking, historical fiction/sci-fi/sex-romp/love story. I’m not surprised Frankissstein: A Love Story was long-listed for the 2019 Booker. Hilarious and scary!
4.5★Link to my ‘Frankissstein’ review
Finished reading Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets two days ago and I absolutely love it! It's such an amazing series! Right now I'm reading the third book, Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban. Really like it so far!
I am always happy to revisit Canadian author Louise Penny's village of Three Pines. Too bad that death is the price of admission. I loved The Nature of the Beast.
