SOLVED: Children's/YA > SOLVED. Looking for a book I read 20 + years ago. HS. It's a mystery. The scene I remember is the girl finds a tunnel that leads to a mausoleum in the cemetery behind property. [s]

Nicky | 30 comments I was thinking it was an R.L. Stine type of book. I just can't remember much else.

Nicky, is this a short story in a collection of horror stories for young adults/teens? For example: Tunnel of Terror : and Other Spooky Stories" by Judith Bauer Stamper.
"Inside the Tunnel of Terror, you are all alone. The leather seat is cracked and moldy. Terrible things pass before your eyes. It's too dark to see, but you know something is definitely beside you. It's hair is touching your arm. You open your mouth to scream ... But wait. There are more strange and scary adventures to go on. Peek inside a magic vanishing box. Take a spooky shortcut past the cemetery. Wander alone in the woods to catch a snipe. Just be careful. Nothing turns out as you might expect!" http://www.worldcat.org/title/tunnel-...

Is there a Halloween theme? Are there paranormal elements such as ghosts?

Kelly (khek) | 270 comments Virginia Masterman-Smith's The Treasure Trap?

(There's a sequel too, so it may be that one. I don't remember which book had which plot.)

Nicky | 30 comments Found it Trick or Treat. It was with an R.L Stine series. It's a murder mystery.
