I get that (view spoiler)
Yea, if the book is 2 or 3 stars then I'd skip book 2 too. No one has time for that. LOL
I'm glad we read this together. Sorry, this one was a bust for you and KC. I'll let one of you two pick next time. :D

You'd be surprised how often I read on even after 2 stars, hah. I got smarter though (and have less reading time) :D You guys don't read much fantasy, right?
And I so need to re-read the Original Sinners. I'm suffering Nora withdrawals.

But I was really excited to read with u guys. Hopefully I'll be more present next time around!
Foxy, u can still pick the books, as well!! Even if I wasn't feeling this one--that has more to do w me than the book. u have picked out so many great reads in the history of our BR's. And don't u forget that! :-)
Remember that one we all read where the guy drank dirty dishwater and the heroine did the walk of shame while sperm juice ran down her leg? Yeah, I picked that
I have you beat ;)

Besides it's not so much about the book - a BR is still fun even the book doesn't work out :)

Here's what's happening in that book so far - (view spoiler)

No (view spoiler)

I saw your review on Caraval and directly added it :D Sometimes I'm not sure I even read anything but fantasy, hah.
I also haven't read a really good dark book in a while, though I remember they were always hard find.
I just settled on a Tiffany Reisz Marathon - I don't even know how often I've read these now, still not boring ;)

Yeah, I can see that. He's such an asshole :D

I have finally finished! I had such a busy stretch there, and it's still pretty crazy but I raced through the rest last night. The twists were pretty interesting, and the book ended w a good action scene, but I still couldn't get into the book overall. I read your spoiler for book 2, and that pretty much sucks but makes for more story!

Sanny, have you read her new books? I've been meaning to try them. I just haven't found the time to work them in.
KC, it's definitely not as thrilling as your domestic thrillers you've been reading. Those books make a person feel edgy trying to figure stuff out. LOL

Foxy,
I've read this (broke my heart)

And I've also read this one (Ican't even begin to explain how that one made me feel, I'm still not sure, hah):

And I keep changing my mind on this one (time travel is not really for me, but it's Tiffany Reisz writing, so who knows!)

And I definitely want to read this
