Razzledm | 81 comments This is probably a longshot. I just recently saw this blurb, I don't remember much about it or if it is a standalone or part of a series and unfortunately, I didn't write the title or author down. I don't even remember much about it, it was a very short blurb. The heroine cannot talk, not sure if she is unable to or had some trauma to prevent it. She has a boyfriend, husband( ?) that leaves her (not sure if he is ashamed of her or not) and another man comes into her life. That is all I remember reading but I believe it is a recent publication. Since I cannot give any more information, I am not sure if anyone can help but thank you for trying.

Kristy | 37 comments It could be Silence by Natasha Preston. Beware it's not a standalone.

Silence by Natasha Preston - Kristy's suggestion

Razzledm | 81 comments No, that's not it. That book came out a few years ago and this is a recent publication. The h is involved with someone but he pushes her away, I believe because of her problem and another man comes into the picture. Thank you

Razzledm, what's the genre - contemporary romance, romantic suspense, mystery, thriller, etc.?

It sounds like this book is for older adults, not young adults (teens)?

message 6: by Razzledm (new)

Razzledm | 81 comments Contemporary romance definitely not YA.

Razzledm | 81 comments I just remember reading the blurb recently but can't remember where or the author or title. I need to write these down when I see them.

I know what you mean. Sometimes I email the link to myself as a reminder.

A guess - Meant for Me by Erin McCarthy?

Razzledm | 81 comments Thanks but no.

Jules | 9 comments Could it possibly be Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson? It shares some similarities.

Razzledm, are you still looking for this or did you find it?

message 15: by Razzledm (new)

Razzledm | 81 comments Never found it and still looking. Thank you

MJ | 1613 comments Probably not, but there is one that comes to mind. First in a series. Think the guys are tattooist maybe? h is brought in my controlling BF to cover scar. She doesn’t talk (by choice from family dying in childhood?). H tattoos her and ends up hiring her to help with his g-ma... Alzheimer’s? Problem getting away from BF.

Jody | 109 comments Sounds like one of the later books in the Reed series by Tammy Faulkner. Tattoo artist (not a Reed) is deaf as well. And to start with they only sign. I will look to see if see which one but I recommend the entire series.
