Parenthesis in title

This was probably asked and answered, but I couldn't find it.
What is the proper action when a title has integeral parenthesis in the title. Case in question: Die Kunst, glücklich zu sein (ohne es zu merken) Just leave it as is?

I did search, but spelling. Not much of an answer though.

I have one such book on my shelves, and I solved it by turning the ( ) into [ ]. This is not an official fix, though.

Both have the suggestion to treat it as subtitle, divided from the title by ":".

In this case "," might work best. But thanks for all the ideas.
