Please suggest one book that you've read this year that you would recommend to your classmates. Tell us three reasons why you would recommend it. It can be of any genre!

Sophia | 1 comments The book that I've read is called "the fault in our stars". It is about a girl who has cancer and is depressed so she is sent to a group where she meets other people with cancer.

The other book that I would recomend is called "kant" it is a german book about physcics it sounds boring but is a graphic novel with weirdly horrible jokes that make you laugh.

I recommend the book 'Ready Player One' because it is a very action packed but also can have it's funny moments. It centers about this dystopia which is influenced by this one video game and people are so centered by this game

Oz Sade (RinOzkumura) | 3 comments The book I recommend to read is the first volume of Blue Exorcist its both in Japanese and in English and its a really great graphic novel its funny but I dont recommend it for people who dont like blood or injuries because it has a lot of these.
The book is about an adopted guy that gets in an argument with his step father and realizes that he is the spawn on satan.
Really interesting book and I highly recommend reading the other volumes too.
Blue Exorcist, Vol. 1

Caitlin (jellyfish1311) | 1 comments I would recommend Snakehead by Anthony Horowitz. It's the seventh Alex RiderSnakehead and in my opinion one of the best. I would say you should read the other six first because without them the book won't make sense. This book does get very gory but is a real page turner and Anthony Horowitz always makes you care about Alex.

Joey | 1 comments I recommend 'Moby Dick' by Herman Melville. I am currently reading it but I can already say that it is great! It has a lot of descriptive language and is a really good example of a masterclass piece of english literature. But it may be difficult for not so advanced readers as is has difficult vocabulary which may be hard to read and has a lot of old english words.
'Moby Dick' is about a journey on board the Pequod a nantucketer whaler (whaling ship) and their mad captain set on killing the white whale Moby Dick who the previous trip had taken his leg. The story is seen through the eyes of Ishmael who boards the Peqoud because of his love for the sea and his wanting for adventure.

Aitor Muckenschnabl | 1 comments To everyone who loves an action-packed adventure with it's side of romance and mystery, I must recommend "The Last Legion" by Valerio Massimo Manfredi. The story features a young roman soldier who is betrayed and continues on a quest to protect the last Ceaser, Romulus.

Oz Sade (RinOzkumura) | 3 comments Attack on Titan, Volume 1
I recommend to read the manga attack on titan which is the original idea of the Anime and the movie, it is really interesting and cool.

My students in Hong Kong also loved Warrior Cats!

Joey: Moby Dick is one of my all time favorites! I really enjoy your review of it.
