May Group Read - Nominate a book set during wartime
I nominate unspoken abandonment by Bryan A Wood. Set around the Afghan war so more about our heroes of "today"
Sorry, I got the anniversary wrong. It has been in the US news this year, and I didn't double-check.
"The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. (Sorry i could't attach the link, i am on the phone and don't know how).
I think this will qualify: Exit West. I'd also like to nominate The Book Thief since it's been sitting on my TBR pile for a way too long!
I would vote, but I already read my book for this category and it was Miss Perigrine's Hollow City. Not sure how to add a book link, but that would be a good one.
Hi all! I'm not voting this month (I'm just finishing Lilac Girls for this prompt) but I wanted to say All the Light We Cannot See and The Nightingale are fantastic choices, and I would also recommend Code Name Verity for this prompt, but if it isn't selected I would highly recommend reading it for the "espionage thriller" prompt!!
