hey VA Family was just reading a buzzfeed interview with Richelle Mead and she said something amaaaaaing!!! I was titled "16 Things We Learned About The Vampire Academy Series From Author Richelle Mead". It's old from Feb last year so not sure if y'all have read it.

On one of the questions she was asked: "Is there anything else you can tell us that happens to the characters beyond the books?"
To which she replied: "No, I can’t tell you because maybe I’ll write some more books about them!"

YES IT'S VERY EXCITING BECAUSE I AM GLAD SHE IS HAVING A BREAK TO REVITALISE HER CHARACTERS BUT I DO LOVE THE VA WORLD AND AM GLAD THAT SHE WILL BE WRITING MORE ONE DAY!!! :D

I know!!! She always says in interviews that she has thought about revisiting the VA world, and she really has to because there was a lot of unfinished business left behind from The Ruby Circle!
Like what happened to the age law? the strigoi vaccine? moroi fighting? dhampirs ability to reproduce? like the ending was cute and all but the book was so short all of this could have been explored!
Also when she writes a new series i wish it would be Rose's perspective again because I miss her dry comedy hahahah
Also Rose and Dimitri engaged (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) screams the possibility (fingers crossed) of a book on their wedding!!!

I knowwwww I miss Rose so much, and I miss Lissa and Mia and Christian. Like, a much as I liked the first few bloodlines books, I felt they went waaaaaaay off where I thought it was leading and didn't go and address more things that were more important and I thought was the whole point of the Palm Springs mission. AND WHAT ABOUT TRANGELINE??? AJKHGLKSDJHFKSD And I kind of don't like that we got an epilogue for Sydrian. Like, I would have liked to imagine it myself.
Also, I feel like they were too young and also, I feel that they rushed into the wedding a bit, like I know the circumstances. But geez, it felt cheesy.

truuueee i never thought of it like that. they were young. did they just get married because they thought they were gonna die? i didn't really understand the need for it. like it was cute and all and i love the ruby cufflinks as the rings etc but idk. why wasn't angeline in the book ?!?!?!?!
while i did enjoy sydneys perspective (and adrians) I miss rose's so much and wanna see how shes handling life etc and (DIMITRI <3). they all had to grow up so quickly when lissa became queen. idk just rambling here.
ALso hopper deserved a goodbye too!

yeah we need some really good fan fic.
it'll probs be a couple of years before Richelle starts writing about the VA/BL world again because doesn't she have like a new series coming up?
So sad, I really wanted more from that ending!
Maybe she did it on purpose? Maybe she fully intends to come back and answer all our unanswered questions about moroi fighting and the strigoi vaccine etc. because those issues did NOT get a good ending.
bit disappointed with HOW SHORT the book was. bit of a let down, even though I love everything RM writes

maybe. True! I was like: BUT I NEED MORE THAN THIS!!!! But I think she needed a break from the characters, which is understandable. So she doesn't dry them out.

If she will be coming back to the VA/BL world eventually, then I think she intentionally left so many questions still unanswered so that we remember that she will come back eventually and might answer those questions

yeah exactly, she probably needs a break from writing the characters so she isn't at risk of drying them out.
I really hope its not from Declan's perspective because then all the main characters will be old and we will have missed out a lot of things in their lives.
I really hope RM goes back to Rose's POV because Sydney is a bit dry now. I think we need to see Romitri in action from Rose's POV because ahhhhh love them <3

or at least a short story with Romitri's wedding as a prologue or the start of Declan's story.

If RM writes another spin-off or a continuation of VA I hope she takes more risks with it. She didn't take any with Bloodlines which is why Ruby Circle was such a disapointment for me. It was all too easy.

If she does write another I hope she kills off a main character like Rose or Dimitri or Lissa and actually involes issues that can't be solved by romance or magic.

I'd say a couple of years probably :(

Because she's got Glittering Court which I think is a series and will take up a lot of time. Plus she needs a break from the VA world because it was getting kinda stale I think.

Like Ruby Circle was soooo short! It left a lot of things unanswered and not dealt with properly like Moroi fighting, the strigoi vaccine and I felt like they were just starting to get the hang of Spirit. Very doubtful that they have learnt everything possible with Spirit. Just to name a few things!

But also at the same time its great because it gives her a lot of plot to deal with when she comes back to the series!!

I think the worst thing she could do when coming back would be to fast forward time when Adrian and Sydney's "baby" is older becuase we would miss out soooo much with the OGs.

Yeah the Glittering Court is going to be a Trilogy and she still has Eye of Andromeda and another Age of X book to write after that one. She has been releasing about 2 books a year now since she's had kids so unfortunately 2 or more years seems about right.

Yeah it's called The Meeting and you can actually read it online. I read it a while back ago but Richelle's putting it in the VA 10th anniversary edition along with three other short stories!

I miss how active this group used to be. We should make more folders and see if we can get some more group members back because there is still more Richelle news. We should create a similar reads folder where we can talk about books similar to anything Richelle writes. We could also add her other series. Idk just a thought: D.
