It took me well over a month to get past the first 20% of Darkfever because it bored me. Now, I'm glad I stuck it out.

I noticed this series comes pretty highly recommended by many of the girls in this group, and I just finished Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning , but I am still not sold on it.. I definitely thought it would be one of my favourites with fey being the major race, they are my favourite (favourite series are still Laurell K. Hamiltons, Merry Gentry), but I don't know...

How are you finding the next book?? Improvement?? I'm still pretty on the fence.

message 131: by Kaitlin (new)

Kaitlin | 5 comments Right now I'm reading Pretty Little Killers The Truth Behind the Savage Murder of Skylar Neese by Daleen Berry which is something really different than what I usually read. I picked it up because there was an article in People magazine, and the fact that this happened a town over from where me and my fiance were going to move - we didn't move there, chose something over an hour away. Creepy!

message 132: by Veronica (new)

Veronica Rosa (veronicadelrosa) Just finished Darkness (New Species, #12) by Laurann Dohner and wow, it was fantastic. I even enjoyed the female MC. Usually I just put up with them for the sake of the story, but Kat was all kinds of amazing.

message 133: by Rachel (new)

Rachel I'm reading Sunshine by Robin McKinley by Robin McKinley and it's really quite unexpected! It's so intelligent and metaphysical.
Anyone else read this book?

Now I'm almost finished with Enticed by His Forgotten Lover (Pregnancy & Passion, #1) by Maya Banks which is pretty good and then I'll be starting Beyond Shame (Beyond, #1) by Kit Rocha

message 136: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Jewell | 22 comments Why do very few of you put the tittle of the book you have read? I guess I'm missing something but i would like to know

message 137: by Malinda (new)

Malinda (malindad) I guess I started it because when I joined up with GR around 2 years ago that what I see most people doing, putting up the cover instead of the title. It's easy enough to see the title (and author) by hovering your cursor over the book cover so I've never seen an issue with it.

message 138: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Jewell | 22 comments Oh you guys put up book covers? I don't see them. Like at all so that would explain the confusion. Thank you.

message 139: by Malinda (new)

Malinda (malindad) Yeah, I see book covers for just about each entry. Are you viewing via the mobile app or something?

message 140: by Andrew (new)

Andrew Jewell | 22 comments Yeah I'm on the mobile app iPhone

message 141: by Malinda (last edited Oct 02, 2014 07:48PM) (new)

Malinda (malindad) Oh, I've heard from some that there was a recent OS update that allow people to see pics on the GR mobile app where they couldn't before so maybe when you get the OS update it'll fix ur issue. :D

message 142: by Andrew (new)

Sorry Andrew, just saw your question! It's a great series by Kim Harrison about a Witch,a Vampire and a Pixy - Here's the first book's description. All the creatures of the night gather in "the Hollows" of Cincinnati, to hide, to prowl, to party ... and to feed.
Vampires rule the darkness in a predator-eat-predator world rife with dangers beyond imagining -- and it's Rachel Morgan's job to keep that world civilized.

A bounty hunter and witch with serious sex appeal and an attitude, she'll bring 'em back alive, dead ... or undead.
You should check it out! The final book just came out. It's been a great run!

Dead Witch Walking (The Hollows, #1) by Kim Harrison <
