Could your book work for the Valentine's mini challenge?

Fair warning - the books gets even better ;)

message 577: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments Hmmm, as for books I'm looking forward to read in March..

There's Fire Touched which finally came out in my paperback edition so I can finally finally buy and read it :-D I also still want to read the doorstop I didn't get to in February and in the meantime it's starting to yell at me haha - The Dragonbone Chair.

I also want to read You, The Caller, Dawn Study, Spider's Bite.. and I've been trying to read Empire of Storms for ages now. ;-)

We'll see what the month brings. There are a couple of challenges with specific tasks (Amazing Race, Star Wars Shelf Pursuit) so I'll just see what the month brings for those two and then I'll decide what to read.

What are you looking forward to read this month?

I'm also thinking of reading Into the Fire (Night Prince, #4) by Jeaniene Frost . Not really in the mood for it, but I need to finish the series.

I have buddy read in this weekend for Caraval. It will work for cards: 1, 2 6 not sure about others.
In this month I will unfortunately read less books than in February. Till 10th I have 3 exams and I won't have too much time to read. I will try read more books after 10th :-)

message 594: by Eldarwen (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments No need to stress over the books, Ginger, but thanks for letting us know!

Good luck with your exams!! :-)
What is it you're studying?

message 595: by Eldarwen (last edited Mar 01, 2017 07:11AM) (new)

Eldarwen | 5004 comments I just read the first bit of the Caraval synopsis and I'm shaking my head at myself...

"Welcome, welcome to Caraval―Stephanie Garber’s sweeping tale of two sisters who escape their ruthless father when they enter the dangerous intrigue of a legendary game."

--> My brain instantly screams JUMANJI!!

message 596: by San (new)

San (btsentence) | 119 comments I'm studying Pharmacy and on Friday I have exam of synthesis of drugs. And next week I have pharmacology and then toxicology.

I watched the movie Jumanji when I was a kid. I love movies with Robin Williams.

message 597: by Annika (new)

Annika | 1412 comments Ooo, interesting subjects!
- well not the organic chemistry part, but the pharmacology and toxicology :)

Have you read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot ?
I think you might enjoy it!

message 598: by San (new)

San (btsentence) | 119 comments No, I didn't read that one. But it sounds really good, especially that we learnt a little about HeLa cells. I usually don't read many biography books but I am planning to read a few this year.
So thanks for recommendation, I will at it to my TBR :-)

message 599: by Annalisa (new)

Annalisa | 1659 comments I've wanted to read or listen to that book for years. It sounded very interesting to me. Now I'll have to see if I can get the audiobook since it is back on my list.

message 600: by Annika (new)

Annika | 1412 comments I listened to it this and last week and I loved it. And it's such an important story to be told. I makes you question a lot.
It packs a punch, especially for those of us working within life sciences.
