As Caly, I do not like to join too many challenges. I am currently participating in two team challenges: Bingo and Uno (here).

As for group reads, I always end up reading ahead of schedule if I like the book or lagging if I don't like it. So I usually don't participate.

I could not possibly limit my favorites to 2 or 3 books. A dozen maybe. :D But let's try... The Count of Monte Cristo and Les Misérables from classics. Kate Daniels series for uf. Misborn series for fantasy....

My favorite authors are: Brandon Sanderson, Ilona Andrews, John Scalzi, ... (I'll read a fishing manual if they write it LOL)

Ozana Ozzy (barbozzy) | 27 comments I just love NBRC challenge, I participated only in that challenge last 4-5 years. They are very engaging and long. This years was so good and I had a great team with maria Helena as captain. Best yet, it lasted almost 5 month. She told me about Uno.

Like Caly I am not doing more that I can take it because of my work and different working hours. I love reading more books at once and when I came across something that interests me I love read all about it weather it's is history, archeology.

I love Dickens Charles, Tolkien, Dostoyevski, Julie Kagawa,Cassandra Clare, Sarah J. Maas, Justin Cronin.....

So I must go to work and I see that I my time for adding books is at 7 p.m.
Have a great time and enjoy!

Tina | 768 comments Ozana, do you have a shelf for UNO?

message 104: by Tina (last edited Jan 31, 2017 04:32AM) (new)

Tina | 768 comments I love challenges, both in teams and individual. I tend to participate in a lot at the same time, but it's a certain thrill to find one book and be able to fulfill the tasks in many challenges:)

My favorite authors are Lauren Blakely, Alice Clayton, Sawyer Bennett, Karina Halle and Brittainy C Cherry. I try to read everything they write and I'm rarely disappointed:)

I've sped through and finished my first book in one sitting (it was awful) so first points are on the spreadsheet. I've added books for Tina and Ozana so it should be up to date now.

Dragana (diaryofthebookdragon) | 66 comments Yay for our first points and book!

Too bad your first book was awful Rachael. But look on the bright side - the next one can only be better, right?

Ingeborg (redrum) | 410 comments Hey, guys! Sorry I've been a bit distant, my horse has been ill, so I've been quite preoccupied. The vet came to see him today, though, and it seems to be nothing serious, hopefully, so now I'm a bit more relaxed and ready to get to it! :D

Favourite authors are among others J.K. Rowling and George R.R. Martin. I'm participating in UNO and the Popsugar challenge thus far, maybe I'll get into some others later. I find challenges increase my reading speed. :)

Looks like several of you read fast!

Oh Ingeborg I hope your Horse is on the mend soon

I think it depends on the book how fast i read - I have one that has been on the go since saturday or sunday and audio books tale me a bit longer

message 120: by Ingeborg (new)

Ingeborg (redrum) | 410 comments Thanks! :) He had shown some signs of colic, but it seems we discovered it before it got more serious. So we'll just take it easy for a day or two and see how he is.

I think I've misunderstood then, because I thought only books started after 1. February counted. Does finishing them after count?

Caly ☯ Crazy Book Lady Ingeborg wrote: "I love how fast you all read! :D I feel really slow."

Don't worry about it Ingeborg, I am not normally a fast reader either. I usually only read about 6 books per month. This game is all about having fun and getting to share the love of books with each other.

I personally was underwhelmed by the first book, I rated it 3 stars, but I just had someone tell me they get better with each book. I liked it overall and would certainly say other team members should give it a try, I am curious to hear what you all think if you do read it.

message 144: by Ingeborg (new)

It is okay Ozana, we understand about work. I was able to finish this book quickly because I had 2 days off of work in a row which is not usually the case.

I you would like to read some Harry Dresden , go for it, it is an easy read with some funny aspects, but only if you want to, no one is obligated. I read Storm Front out of curiosity.
