Hey Avni. That's awesomely cool. :)

Sorry I missed all of the weekend chatter. One more day then it is UNO time!"
Hi Lulu. Ohhhh very exciting. :)

Thank you Laura, already can see that you will be a great Captain. Hahaha, hopefully. Only problem is when I get addicted I go overboard. Will do. Yeah me too. :)

Since this is my first time, I am a little confused. So for the month of Feb we have 4 of the 0 card, so that's the number of books with the characteristics of 0 we should as a team read ?

Hi Anna,
You can start with whatever book you like. Then we will put it into the spreadsheet for you. We are not assigning cards first.
Have you looked at the guidelines for how the books will match up with the cards?
If you want to you can post what book you want to start with and I can tell you where it will most likely fit. Laura has posted an example already on page 2 message 73. The following link will take you directly to it.

You can start with whatever book you like. None of the cards will be assigned. We are filling in the spreadsheet as they are finished.

Tomorrow is Day 1!
So if you still have questions please ask them. I know it can be a little confusing if this is your first time and even from year to year because not all captains are the same.

So one book can be used for more than one card ?

The challenge starts on Wednesday February 1, 2016 at 7pm AEDST (Australian Eastern Daylight Savings Time).
To see when this is in your time zone, use this countdown
Main cities, FYI:
Tokyo: 5pm, 1st February
London: 8am, 1st February
New York: 3am, 1st February
San Francisco: Midnight, 1st February
Right now we are about 15 hrs and 26 min!!

Sorry I missed the question at the end of this one at first.
No.
When you signed up to play you gave the average number of books you read per month. So generally speaking that should be the number of books you try to read for the challenge each month.
If you are able to read more that is okay. Usually this doesn't happen that often unless you are a super speedy reader. If you read over your average those books may not make the spreadsheet because we will run out of cards but there are usually extra challenges once we get started. If you read over your average it is possible the extra books can be applied to a challenge. (If this isn't clear let me know. I don't want to confuse you)
Once the challenge starts your book per month average will be on the Team Spreadsheet.

No and yes
No because each book will be assigned one card in the end.
Laura's post is how you should try to post your books.
Yes because in general most books have the possibility to fit multiple cards. It is okay if it only fits one though.
Putting all of the possible cards your book can be used for is helpful because it means greater flexibility when completing the spreadsheet.

Planning Sheet

I have looked at the spreadsheet. I might have got a little confused with that too. But now all good. :)

Now that I think I get it. I'm going to start with The Invisible Man by H.G Wells. Hopefully I'm getting it ? :(

No worries. Questions are always welcome :)
Yep! You are definitely getting it and good choice.
When you finish it just post to the thread which cards it fits then you can move on to your next book.

Oh that's a relief, or I would be confused whiles its happening :D. Thank you, been wanting to read it forever.
Okie, will do. Should I post it on the spreadsheet ? :)

Have you pm'd Laura to get access to the planning sheet yet? If you have then yes, you should be able to add your book. If you haven't just send her a private message with your email.

Can you tell us how it fits for card 1, card 6 , card 8, card 9 and skip please Avni? Post #73 gives you an example of what Lulu and I are looking for when teammates are posting completing books. ( we need to give a reason for why we use the book for a particular card and just giving us the card options doesn't give us all the information we need. )
