I read this a few years ago, but that doesn't necessarily describe when it was published. I think it came out definitely in the 2000s. It's a young adult book about a girl named Tyla, may have been Talya. It starts out that she's in this spiritual community and something happens and she becomes the new leader. She has to then defeat this king. The whole book had an Asian feel to it, but I can't exactly remember if it was based in Asia. Anyway, she meets this young lord/rich man and he helps her people and her to find a way to battle the king. Somewhere in there they decide to marry. He gets sick at a point and she has to nurse him and sleeps in his bed. I remember a line about her not being uncomfortable to share his bed once they're married because she'd been sleeping in the same room for so long. At the end of the book she has to battle the king or the evil guy to save the country or town. That's really all I remember for now. I do know the title was something like "Tyla:..." it had a : in it for sure and there was a bird on fire on the cover (I'm pretty sure). Please help. It's been driving me crazy.
