Challenge 1 of 2017: New, New and New!
Finished #4
New author. This was more like a lifetime made for TV movie. The premise had potential but the story was shallow. It gave me the same kind of feeling as
Finished #6!
- new author.I don't know if I'll try another round or not. I started a couple series that the second book is available now. I may see what comes up.
Updated post #4.
Finished
. This was such a different book compared to what I usually read. I think I liked it... but it was definitely harder to finish since it didn't quite hold my attention like my usual picks. I didn't realize until after I had borrowed it that the library shelved it in the YA fiction section but the sticker said "historical fiction," which would explain a lot.

Finished a round! I think I'll have to go read some sequels now, I'm dying to know what happens in all these other books!
After being insanely busy, I finally got everyone caught up! Hooray!Congratulations are overdue for oh! Lainey, Christie, Heather, Barb, Kdbrand, and Candice for completing the challenge.
And extra congratulations are in order for Jennifer - our first member to complete both rounds!
Aaaaand I finally finished a challenge!!! Just completed
.I'm unsure if I'll be able to complete a full second round, but I think I'll keep reading in the challenge parameters through the end of March and see what I can get to :)
congratulations Grem - it has been awhile since you have been able to complete a challenge and now you are going above and Beyond :)
Finished my 4th. New series by an author I've read. Kinda, she co-authored something I read. However this series is completely new to me.

Finished https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... today! It was so good and I would totally recommend this book a thousand times over! For anyone who doesn't know what to read, I definitely recommend this interesting twist on a dystopian world.

Gremlin just wanted to bring it to your attention that there are 2 Diane's now ^^^ this is a different Diane so she will have to be added. My # is 14 and hers is 213 - just to clarify.
I decided to start a third round because why not. This has been a good challenge for me; it's giving my bookshelves a cleaning.Okay, Finished #1-3 in Round 3
All New Authors and Series
Updated post #15
finished #5 post 14 -
I enjoyed it. It was a quick read and what I needed at the moment. One more to go.
Finished #6 post 213 - Carrier of the Mark It was so good that I had to start the next book in the series right away! It is very much in the vein of Twilight and I could make so many comparisons between the two books. Leigh Fallon is a relatively new author with only 2 books published to date. I think she got a little scared off by the success of Twilight because she still has not written the rumored 3rd book in the series.Next up (for Round 2!) is Shadow of the Mark and Book 2 in the Starters Series Enders.
Finished #1 of Round 2 (post #213)
. Now I am really frustrated that no book 3 has been written and I'm thinking that it won't be published ever.Up next would be
because I am very interested to see what the end of the story is.
So it has been awhile but I am still alive and still reading! But I may have got addicted to Pokemon Go which ate into my Goodreads perusing and posting time. The books I have read for this challenge so far this year are:
(non-ya)Hopefully I can get 2 more in before the end of the month
The last 2:
All books were new authors
Finished my 5th, updated post 27
New authorIt was better than I thought it'd be after I realized it was based on the movie, not vice versa. The art was oddly beautiful.
I started a round two, even though I probably won't get very far. Finished the first, new series.
new series to me.
I got sucked into The Finishing School series by Gail Carriger and then had to reread The Protector of the Small series by Tamora Pierce, but I'm back to NEW NEW NEW now!Finished #4 of round 2.
Updated original post# 25.
Not sure I'm going to complete this challenge! But added my third book read for the challenge anyway... Read

Not sure if you have been around Grem but I have finished the challenge a while back and have not been updated. I know we only have a couple more days left on this one and am wondering if you have ideas on the next challenge after this. I am ready to start planning :)
Haven't been able to log on in a while, but I have been reading!Finished
and
That would be books 2 & 3 of my second round. Both are new authors.
I loved Sachiko. It was very educational and an incredibly eye-opening read! I was ready to re-read to soak up information I didn't the first read through.
Hidden Figures was not my cup of tea. I would much rather have watched the movie again. Too much background that I felt was unnecessary pulled my attention away from a story I was incredibly interested in reading.
I've finished my 5th and 6th books for this challenge!
New Author
New Author and New SeriesUpdated post #11
Right under the wire, 6/6 is done! Challenge completed.
New author/new book.Post #20 is updated. Whew. I didn't think I'd finish this challenge. School and work are kicking my ass big time.
Finished round 3 book 6
- New AuthorUpdated post #15
I really enjoyed this book, and am excited to see what else this author writes.
So I am definitely not going to finish. Realized one of my books wasn't by a new author (whoops). But I have 4, going to try to finish 5 tonight, and that will be a really good attempt ^_^
