Challenge 1 of 2017: New, New and New!
Finished
Anyone else think that Kilorn is annoying? I kept hoping he'd just die so there wouldn't be some ridiculous love triangle with a lame guy that can't take care of himself and makes terrible choices.

. A new author for me. Enjoyed this book, it kept me up until the early hours! Oh and it made me cry a bit too...

Yes! I liked the world-building much more than the characters in this book.
It's been ages (probably years) since I've been on. But after a rocky year, I need to start concentrating on the happier stuff, the stuff I enjoy! It's been way too long since I've read consistently so I'm excited to start. And since I'm on a budget, I raided my kindle first.Completed

I had such high hopes for this series. I mean, that cover! But it was a miss for me, too

oh my! So brilliant.New Author."
This book KILLED me - so heartfelt!
Amy, I went ahead and listed this as your one non-YA book for the challenge (since it's an Elementary/Middle-grade read).
Thanks Gremlin. Didn't realise it was middle age but that makes sense so I'm all fine with that. Brilliant book, I hear the movie is just as good so can't wait to see it.
At the top right of the comment box, click where it says add book/author. You then just type in the book name and click add.

Oh man how was it? There was a book written in the same universe prior to this one called
and it was easily one of my favorite books in 2016. Once this challenge is over, I plan on reading Crimson Bound.
Finished book 3 -
Urgh I wanted to like this more. The story was so good, but the editors should have cut out a good 2/3 of the damn book. So much repetition! And useless inner monologue! But I think I still may read the sequel after the challenge is done. I'm just glad I borrowed it from the library and didn't spend money on it. Updating #17

New Author & Series"The first book in this series was just ok for me but the others were absolutely fantastic! You should definitely continue with this series.

Yeah I felt the same way but I'll definitely continue because I LOVED Gen as a character. Can't wait to see what he gets up to next.
Melanie #8 updateNew Series and New Release!
*The book was very good but was more like Star Trek than like Divergent.
Candice wrote: "Oh man how was it? There was a book written in the same universe prior to this one called..."It was well written, but not really my cup of tea. It's a little darker than I typically like and, although advertised as a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood really had nothing to do with it except the very minimal premise. But if you like her other work, from what I read in the reviews, you'll probably like this one too.
Jen (at last!) wrote: "I think I'd like to enter, if it's not too late?"It's never too late! Welcome to the challenge :)

After the way the Divergent series ended I'm afraid to invest myself into anything she writes. Which is a shame because this looks good.

It's good brain candy. I remember liking the rest of the series, though the teen romance crap did get on my nerves a little bit. Lili St. Crow's writing is usually pretty solid though! :D
Great Job Teresa in Ohio and Veronica!!! If you're still enjoying the challenge, go ahead and run through another round!
