Alice | 756 comments I am reading a really good HF book right now. Island Queen Island Queen by Vanessa Riley by Vanessa Riley. It starts in the Caribbean in 1761 and goes to 1824. Based on real story of Dorothy Kirwin. Strong story of slave who becomes freeman and business owner. Fascinating. Highly recommend.

He has many different series all are right with history and mysteries. If you have not read his books give him a try.

message 1364: by Zermeena (new)

Zermeena | 725 comments I finished listening to Devil's Bridge. I love this series but this book was not a success. Instead of being told from Alex's POV it was mainly from Mike's POV. The problem was that Mike's personality did not come through clearly. It was as though Feinstein would lapse and allow Alex's voice to bleed through. I can't recommend this one, but earlier books in the series are outstanding.

Alice | 756 comments I am reading Great Circle Great Circle by Maggie Shipstead by Maggie Shipstead. It is good so far I am about quarter way through. Some of chapters get a big bogged dialogue that is not needed but overall plot is quite interesting.
