I tend to binge read when I really like a series too. Full immersion, I say! :-)

Jeff Yeah the Decker series is great. I saw that another one is coming out later this year. I'd like to re-read K&M and the Camel Club some time, maybe after I'm caught up on everything already in my queues... I also really liked the Shaw series and bummed that it ended up being only two books.

I wouldn't consider myself a full-on series binge reader. I sort of rotate among 3 or 4 series plus some stand-alones. Even when I'm really anxious to get to the next one in a particular series, sometimes I have to force myself to wait so I don't neglect the other series I'm also reading. I guess I'd rather make progress on several than to finish one.

I'm also listening to the Harry Potter audiobooks and loving them. The narrator is outstanding. Enjoy!

Thanks! Yes, I did listen to one my first time through the series (Order of the Phoenix) but read the rest in hardback. I remember them being really expensive back then, so I was glad when they became available on Audible a year or so ago. I just started Prisoner of Azkaban this morning.

It's certainly a big adjustment but it's going well! My parents are coming in to our house to watch the girls and I'm only about a 10 minute drive away. I couldn't ask for much more! :)

Welcome Jeff!

I'm more like you. I prefer not to binge read otherwise I get burned out on a series. Hope you pop in on our Bosch series read and comment. We always enjoy new perspectives.

Thanks! I'll be sure to check those out.

I think the series I read tend to have more self-contained stories, rather than ongoing serial plots. At least that's true with the ones that I could continue if I wanted to without waiting for the next book to be released. I think if there were more serial plots, I might have to force myself not to binge read, because I definitely do that with TV shows where I have to find out what happens next. Then by the time I get back to another series I was watching before, I've forgotten what was going on.
