Both are first books (figured I'd get in on the ground floor with a Connelly series) and introduce two likable protagonists in Renee Ballard and Van Shaw, respectively. I enjoyed both and plan to continue with both series.

Meera | 138 comments I went away on vacation to Maine where we didn't have cable or internet really so I read quite a bit during night time. Read Hostage to Pleasure (Psy-Changeling, #5) by Nalini Singh Branded by Fire (Psy-Changeling #6) by Nalini Singh and started a new series with Dirty (Dive Bar, #1) by Kylie Scott . I bought Wildfire (Hidden Legacy, #3) by Ilona Andrews but couldn't download it till I got back home so can't wait to read it!

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 656 comments I really have enjoyed it. Another series to read in order, the main character is an eccentric archaeologist who teaches somewhere in Norwich, England. There's a whole cast that reappears, including most of the local police department, when Ruth is involved in helpng (unwittingly) to solve cases.
