R14: Team #14 ~ Reading Crusaders
You can never go wrong with Mercy or Elena... Enjoy!I think I will be sticking with
. She's a little spunky and fun so far with her Louisville slugger...
The open was a highlight of our ESPN this morning... Istomin vs Djokovic. Thought this was very cute...“First of all I feel sorry for Novak, I was playing so good today. I mean, I surprised myself as well today,” he said

Title/Author: Hell's Chapel by Celia Kyle
Series: Caith Morningstar
Date Read: 1/25/2017
Shelf: Hunters
Pages: 394
Rating: ★★★★☆
Review: This is the first book in the Caith Morningstar series and I really enjoyed it. Caith is basically the princess of hell since Lucifer is her "Uncle Luc" and she's half demon... The fun part, which is typical in a CK book is that her father is a blend of five dads that donated the "good" and raised her. Her Papas include an alpha werewolf, father earth, warrior, pixie king and a unicorn. All of which are very protective and often present including Uncle Luc. Orlando is her home and most of the patrons that frequent her bar are known as tweens, dems (demons) and gels (angels), and she is also the ultimate butt kicker in town. Her love interest is a semi fallen gel who helps her fight off a zombie and vampire attack and her wolf is convinced is their mate. Lots of good action and a nice blend of smexy moments. It had the typical CK humor and violence along with some emotional moments that equaled a good read and I will definitely continue with this series...
New shelf announcement. Shelf #2 ~ 1/25: Paranormal Romance
DIRECT LINK - https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/...
Excited because I'm pretty darn sure that
fits that shelf and I just got that little pre-order in my hands this week... If it fits, I'm going with it!!
I know.... it is crazy. After work I've got kiddos in volleyball, basketball and just starting baseball conditioning... Sometimes I can squeeze some reading in while I wait.
Those are perfect times to get reading done. I have kiddos but they're older and don't really interrupt me. I'm renovating 2 of the bathrooms in my house and trying to find the right stuff for it is so time consuming that I'm too tired to look at anything else. hehe
I'm going with
, strangely shelves times as PnR....I'm halfway through listening to
and should finish
for hunters tonight. I'll post a review. In the morning

Title/Author: Feversong by Karen Marie Moning
Series: Fever
Date Read: 1/26/2017
Shelf: Free Shelf (Best of UF series list)
Pages: 512
Rating: ★★★★★
Review: So hard to believe that this is the final book in the Fever series and what a ride this world has taken us on. From Mac as a blonde naive southern bell arriving in Dublin looking for clues about her sister while navigating the dark fae creatures of the unseelie court to where the journey ends in this book is quite a transformation. Liked all the many characters in this book and POVs which gives more depth to the Nine, Barrons, Ryodan, Dani and several others while also providing closure to several mysterious storylines. Downside was all the inner dialog in the first part, and that darn evil book is back... The black holes are growing and the earth only has months left before it is destroyed, which pulls a team of unlikely characters to battle both threats. So happy that we got this wonderful adventure, including more Mac and Barrons time, Dancer and Dani, such emotional highs and lows and several tears were shed. The audio version of this series has been great. Hope we still get a glimpse of a few favs with the additional two books planned in this world.

Enjoyed the next book in the series with Nora and Patch. Even though Patch wasn't acting like himself. He was very elusive as to his for hanging around with Marcie. Nora wasn't happy but of course someone is trying to get to her. Then there's Scott, past family friend that moves back but weird things happen around him and Nora finds herself wanting to be near him. Nora is also having issues with either actually seeing her father or is she really imagining it? Nora has a few things that need to be figured out the answers to all her questions but she needs to keep herself out of harms way.

It was nice to back with Mercy and Adam but Christy was a pain! It was a little slow in terms of storyline at the start but picked up about halfway through. I love the Fey aspect as well

Title/Author: Eleventh Grave in Moonlight by Darynda Jones
Series: Charley Davidson #11
Date Read: 1/31/2017
Shelf: Paranormal Romance
Pages: 352
Rating: ★★★★★
Review: Another great read and glimpse into Charley Davidson's world. She has several cases going but they are a little more personal this round as her client is seeking information that she is already working on... Who was responsible for the kidnapping Reyes when he was an infant and why? and why does he want her to drop her investigation... Amber has a stalker and UB is hiding something from Cookie and Charley, which Charley fears is what dooms him to hell. Beep is still in hiding and protected from those who want to cause her harm. All good stuff and intertwined with who Charley really is and just how powerful can she be. Of course there is a bit of a cliff hanger, arghhh... I have always listened to this series in audio, so all of her crazy town thoughts and comments are very entertaining. Not sure if I read this series the flow would be as good with her ADD and random thought process. Guess this is part of the charm of the series which is one of my all time favs.

Review~ Stephanie Plum ever fails to make me laugh & when you put Grandma Mazur in the mix, it gets even funnier. This was a re-read but it still entertained. I've read all of the books in the series & did a re-read for another challenge & it just happened to fit my bingo shelf as well. Stephanie is still trying to figure out her love life but it was nice to go back & read how this whole thing with her being a bounty hunter got started. Looking forward to book #24 coming out soon.

Title/Author: Again the Magic by Lisa Kleypas
Series: Wallflowers #0.5
Date Read: 2/5/2017
Shelf: Guilty Pleasures
Pages: 386
Rating: ★★★1/2☆
Review: Historical romance won this week and I went with the prequel to the Wallflower series. I have previously read her Capital Theatre series and this was as good. Challenge was childhood sweethearts Lady Aline and the orphan McKenna both basically raised by the housekeeper, but from different classes and a forbidden and growing affection. Later separated by her father by sending stable hand McKenna away in his teens. A terrible accident occurs to Lady Aline and flash forward 12 years and she is unmarried and McKenna returns with his American entourage for business and revenge on the woman who broke his heart. The good, I liked the characters and the side story of her sister Livia and Gideon Shaw, another rich American that has to overcome his own demons if he wants to capture the heart of the other Marsden sister. The bad, communication, communication, communication... If the characters would just talk to each other they could save themselves a whole heck of a lot of pain and frustration, but then we wouldn't have a story...
For Guilty Pleasure I am going to re-read
since my group is doing a series read and I've fallen behind :0 and for Paranormal Romance I'm going to go with

I love this spin off of the dark hunters but I'm finding them. A little confusing with the meantioning of lots of bit characters. It was also a little wordy for what happened but will definitely continue with the series
Good for you Belinda... I'm so far behind on the Dark Hunter series. Is it just me, or is anyone else tired of paging thru Mortal Instruments and Percy Jackson series books for every new shelf called? It's like the first several pages every time along with all their YA book friends. I swear if a BDSM shelf was called, those same books would be there... ok, it's been a long day and rant over...
So my short list for Favorite Series
and because I didn't get to it last week maybe
I was waiting in a parking lot for practice to start and trying to view the options from my phone... I've been playing assistant volleyball coach, so I haven't been very chatty here... It became a challenge to fat finger thru the pages and my eye sight doesn't help. I wish there was a filter function for lists.
I feel the same way and yes without my reading glasses I see nothing. Hahaha. Wow I loved volleyball when I was a teen. It's too bad I can only play in the summer while in the pool and I can get enough to play.
It's my favorite sport... and our family is all involved. We are lucky we have both and girls programs here in Western Pennsylvania. My daughter is playing now, fun times...
I decided to change my books for Paranormal romance, guilty pleasure and favorite series with
its easy since I have them on my ereader and will be taking it on mini vacation this Tuesday :)
