I will be reading Ender's Game for number 4. I have yet to read this book even though just about everyone I know loves it. All of my To Read books this month are by new authors to me so I will easily be able to fill number 11. Looking forward to a new month of books!
I will try for two this month (less then usual but I am moving at the end of the month so probably won't have too much reading time)
Just finished my first book for the challenge. I read A Broom of One's Own: Words on Writing, Housecleaning, and Life by Nancy Peacock for #6 Juniors: Read a book where a character struggles with his/her identity.
This is a short book of essays on author's experience supporting herself by cleaning houses after she became "a critically-acclaimed published author."

The main characters in this book are experiencing something completely new to them and what they are experiencing also makes them outsiders compared to the rest of society.

Just finished #12 (memory loss) - Graceling by Kristin Cashore. Loved this fantasy book so much more than I expected! The world the author created was fascinating with a unique angle. Characters were interesting and relatable, and I'm always a fan of a strong, kick-butt heroine! Some of the conclusions were a tad simplistic, but that was my only criticism. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars1/4

I read The Provost by John Galt. In this book the main character, Mr Pawkie, is the provost or magistrate in a small town in Scotland. He is always involved in some intrigue to consolidate his position as the top man in the town council and schemes with other members, usually over a strong drink, to get his ideas and positions to be accepted. Early political satire.

Just completed #11 (new author to me) - Always the Baker, Never the Bride by Sandra Bricker. Sweet, uncomplicated story. Perfect for an airplane ride. Characters were a bit stereotypical and there were some strange plot points. Decent read. 3.5 stars2/4

This is a Norwegian book about a girl who leaves her life in Oslo to go to Paris. It describes her loneliness while living in a city where she knows no one, and how this in some ways makes her become stronger, and gain more insight to herself. Hopefully it'll be translated to English soon.

Not my favourite book ever, but it involves a (power) struggle between three girls, and a club owner they all hate for several reasons. A super easy read, but really not the best book in the world.
Read a book by an author that is new to you : Og det skal vare så lenge by Linde Hagerup
Another Norwegian book that I picked up randomly when I was at the library last time. The writing is almost a mix between poetry and short-story, and I actually really enjoyed it. It is written from the viewpoint of a woman caught in a marriage with a man who is having some problems (when I read it, I interpreted it as him feeling guilty for leaving his previous wife for this woman, but I may be wrong). I know one of her books has been translated into Dutch, so maybe it'll be translated into English as well..
This is my first attempt at a monthly challenge and I just can't decide how many I want to try for. I think I'll try for 5 and hopefully get more than that in. :)And I've already finished Unwind which I will count for #8.
