Lindsey (naommah) Hey all!

I loved looking at everyone's year in review last year. I also wanted to share my favorite books of the year, and what a perfect chance to align with the book of the month for January!

What were your favorites?

Please share your link of books for the year!
If you have trouble, I found that clicking the share button for twitter gave me a link I copied here. =)

I didn't read a whole lot of books it seems, but these were my favorites for 2016:"

I think you did great! I added some of yours to my to-read list! All the Light We Cannot See is definitely on my list! I think I'll be getting to it in March hopefully. I don't expect I'll be reading so much next year since I'll be in school unlike earlier this year when I got most of my reading done.

Lindsey (naommah) Great list Ari! Several I had added to my list that i didn't catch earlier this year =)

Lindsey (naommah) Christa, seriously 700?! I thought you were at 2 day, WAY to go! You're ability is a mega reading goal. Congrats! I love your variety for the year, I will dig through it some more tomorrow, sooo many.

Vonze | 2 comments It was kinda a meh reading year for me, as I forced myself to read some things just to get them off my bookshelf before I move X-D

Thanks Lindsey! I definitely had to push myself a few times throughout the year when I hit a slump, but signing up for different reading challenges helped. It was fun!

For such a meh year I liked your list! This Pop Manga Coloring Book A Surreal Journey Through a Cute, Curious, Bizarre, and Beautiful World by Camilla d'Errico looks awesome!!! I also think I'll follow in your footsteps this year. Too many books on my shelves I haven't gotten to yet, so I think cleaning them off will be my goal! Thank you!

Lindsey (naommah) Christa, I have told myself at least one different reading challenge this year. I think this is the only way I'll explore more outside of my favorite genres. Thanks for the example of how it helped you!

I am just poking fun but was your slump a half a book a day? Or did you manage a few crazy days of 3-4+? I think my average best time for a book would be in print and maybe around 8-9 hours. No way I could read daily though, book hangovers are the worst.

I definitely had a few 3-4+ days, and a few times where it took me 3-4 days to finish a particular book. It evened out over time, but the delayed times were stressful. I'm gonna try not to push myself so much this year. :)

Jennifer (unicornprincez4) | 12 comments Omg I read so many books & comics this year! Saddly I feel like I read more books I didn't like than ones I did like. But that's because I tried different sorts of books I wouldn't normally, and I'm really proud of myself for that.

Anyways,

My top five for 2016 were:

This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab
Four: A Divergent Story Collection by Veronica Roth
A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
Dragon Age: Magekiller (comic) by Greg Rucka
I Hate Fairyland (comic) by Skottie Young

Always times like that it seems you just can't get a good story. But yes, Way to Go! I think getting out of your comfort zone is great!

Big question though! I saw you had rated This Savage Song only 3 stars, was it just that good to be on your top list? Sounds like i need to pick it up soon!

Lol. I look forward to seeing your 2017 list! I have my doubts it will be under 400.
