Nominate a book written by a person of color for the February group read

It's also on my TBR list for awhile!
Rebecca wrote: "The Invention of Wings"I read it and it was a great book, but
By a person of color? I know she writes a lot about the experiences of blacks, but what is Sue Monk Kidd's ethnicity?
Marilyn - You are correct that Sue Monk Kidd is Caucasian. Her characters may be people of color, but she is not. I love her books but don't plan to use her for this category.
I couldn't seem to edit my comment but I could also vote Their Eyes Were Watching God since I have it and it's been on my TBR forever.
Katie wrote: "https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1..."I was going to ask for a Toni Morrison book! This would be a great choice! :-) xx
