My Pomeranian is part chihuahua. And that's the part of her that is.
And she's taught the other two.
Ouch.

Thank you, Justin!
Thank you, Justin!
Hello, fiends.
It's no secret that Halloween is my favorite holiday by far. So, I'm gonna do something nice for you to celebrate.
All you have to do is give me some candy (actually, just leave a comment and say what candy you're putting in my trick or treat bag). On Nov. 1, I will open the bag and see what I have. Whoever leaves me the best candy, I will buy your book(s)*!
You can leave a recommendation for a / some book(s), too. That way, if I already have all your books, I can go buy your friends book(s).
*DISCLAIMER: Kindle only, please. I will spend up to ten dollars on this. The purchase of the books will not guarantee I will read, rate, or review them.

I'll leave a Baby Ruth. The candy bar, you cannibal crazypants! And since you have all of mine, I will suggest you get anything of Jane's that you don't already have, or RK Gold's Brinwood, which is a creepy little horror that's right up your alley.
*cringe* I don't eat babies. I prefer humans that are nice and ripe.
I don't think I have all of Jane's books. Thank you!
On an unrelated note - I'm learning a huge joy of writing a book set in the eighties. You can have screwed up punctuation and it's correct: “You don’t like Wham!?” she asked, looking ready to sob. “I love Wham!.”*
*For the few of you who read the early manuscript of Suckers & Rogues, I have made Tiffany obsessed with Wham! as I was tired of Word telling me that I should cut Duran Duran down to Duran.

Gahdammit! I only eat freshly killed (or not killed) adults. When he was freshly dead, Babe would have been a lovely feast. Not so much anymore. Nothing left but worms and bones.

It looks like Vonnegut was fond of candy bars, and in particular, Three Musketeers (which pops up a few times in Slaughterhouse Five). My wife also likes them, so I have a few spares on hand and gladly leave one for you.
You might have my books already, so I would recommend Cosmogonic Marbles by Steve Downes. It's a quirky, funny, fantasy you might enjoy.

Well, the decision for the winner should be an easy one. I only had two people speak up. I guess the rest of you are satisfied with the number of sales you get. Must be nice!
In case anyone is wondering - Tootsie Rolls would have been the top choice for candy. Second best is a rock (it's a Charlie Brown thing).
So, the winner between these two choices is Three Musketeers. As they said in Stranger Things 2, it's all nougat, but they said it like it's a bad thing. I like Baby Ruths, but they often seem dried out and old to me, somehow.
So - I do believe I have all your books Dan. If not, you will see a sale / sales soon. I will also check out Cosmogonic Marbles.
I will probably have enough money to scan Christina and Jane's books, too. I have a feeling I don't have all of Jane's, yet.

Dan has a new one coming out on the 20th. ;-)
Sheesh Dwayne. You snuck that one. I’ve been busy getting my bad knee injected with steroids. Sorry I never stuck an oar in. So thanks as ever for being a very generous sort of cannibal. And thanks to Christina for suggesting me. X
Yay! I hope you enjoy the book!
Christina wrote: "Dan has a new one coming out on the 20th."
Indeed I do, and thank you for mentioning it!
Dwayne, if you have any of that $10 left, Christina has a new one coming out on the 10th.

Yo Dwayne, just read the Werewolf Turmoil and wanted to say. Owwww (that’s howling not screaming), and only you could name a character German Measles.
Hey... it's just possible I won't be spending that ten dollars until Dan and Christina's books are out. I've had a change in work recently and it seems I'm never home, now.
Okay. I am home right now. But, I'm leaving in about five minutes.
I will make the purchases soon. I PROMISE!!!
Ha ha (that's me laughing, Jane) my first reaction to your post was... I did? I don't remember that. Of course. Rubella. DUH! (not with it right now). Boring, boring anecdote time: She's actually named for an old role playing character of mine from a weird role playing game I was trying to write back in the nineties. The game was set a hundred or so years in the future and the character would go around saying to everyone she met, "My name's Princess Rubella Consuela Esmerelda Robespierre of the Gran' Kingdom of N'Awlins, but you all can call me Ruby." She was a voodoo priestess who had turned her husband into a zombie / slave. Quite fun.

I rather liked the anecdote myself.
Wha luck! i'm deep in o edi ing Suckers 7 Rogues and several of he ke s on m ke pad decide o s op working. he le er af er x does no work, nor does he le er af er s. onl one shif ke works and
he backspace does no work. jus lovel .
he backspace does no work. jus lovel .
i am far from a fan of such a challenge responding 2 u is going so slowl... ee . Wife found a few ideas on how 2 fix da problem. if unsuccessful i will use her comp. and Fri. purchass a cheap one 2 hold me a while. worse is having no backspace.
Do you have Bluetooth or a port for a peripheral keyboard? Might end up needing a new comp in the long run, but a temp fix might mean you can later get something with more bells and whistles.
Okay. So, now I'm on the wife's laptop. I'm doing a few things with my old laptop on the other side of the room, possible solutions my wife came up with. If none of that works, I'll get a cheapy little thing from Walmart to hold me over for a few months and save up for a nicer one around February or March. Or maybe I'll get a credit card... yeah, younger me was dangerous with credit cards, but maybe I could handle them now.
Oh, my goodness, Dwayne! For a moment I thought you were having an anxiety attack! Sorry your computer croaked. That really stinks. I'm glad you found a temporary solution and hope you are able to find an affordable permanent resolution soon. Good luck. Hugs

That's actually not far from the truth, Sam. I had to come home early from work on Wednesday due to a severe headache and nausea. I may have had a bug, but I think I was actually exhausted and stressed, partly due to the computer issues. I've gone with something Christina suggested. I bought myself a wireless keyboard this morning and I'm back in business. Meanwhile I will save up for a new laptop as this is a little awkward and God only knows how much longer the old laptop will hold on.

Dwayne, I'm glad the wireless keyboard is working and hope your laptop system hangs in until it can be replaced. I'm sure you're backing up regularly. Good luck! Hugs
I've never had Rave On free before. I decided I'd let it be free a few times this year, on the birthdays of rock stars I love and admire. Today is David Bowie's birthday (and Elvis Presley's). So...

Two or three people have crawled out of the woodwork and dusted off their showcases lately (yes, I read them, though I seldom comment) so here's my update.
Suckers & Rogues is undergoing a massive detailed tweaking that is taking forever and infinity. I am going to publish the damn thing in June or July.
I've been experimenting with having free stuff out every few days and not posting about it anywhere. Mixed results. Sometimes I get lots of downloads and a sale or two, sometimes I get little to no downloads.
That's... about it, I guess.

Thanks, Alex. I've been happy with most of it since about the 6th draft. The climactic scene was terrible, but I think I've finally fixed it. Mostly what I'm doing now is tightening the writing by looking at every "and", "then", "that" and all those other little words that can unnecessarily bog writing down.

Yes. It's taking forever. However, it's because of the size of the book I feel it's necessary to get nitpicky.

Well heck, guess I better update at some point. Also, glad to see you're planning to finally release this beast. I'm curious to see how much has changed from the draft I read about a century ago.
Heh heh. Tons of changes and very little at the same time - meaning the story is still pretty much the one you remember, but some events have been changed around (the crop circle scene happens much sooner, now). A few characters have had name changes (Ken = Patrick, Kevin = Tom, Roger = Bjorn). I'm toying with changing Alexa's name to Miriam for a reason a bit too long to go into as I need to get to work.
I should have Suckers & Rogues done by the end of July. I feel I'm on the next to the last edit right now.
To gain some interest, I'm publishing the first three parts individually and will be offering them free from time to time. The first part is going to be free this Saturday and Sunday.
https://goo.gl/fpsxkm
And when the whole novel is done? I am pricing it at the ridiculously low price of .99 for the first three or four months. That's a lot of book for your buck!

Thank you. It's getting down to reading several pages without making changes and when I do make a change, it's generally some nitpicky thing that probably would have been fine if left alone. So, if I can go through it one more time with minimal changes, I'm publishing it.

If this is true, it could be the last American classic. The way things are going, America might be gone, soon.

This will be an evil, evil post.
It's the 666th post in this thread.
And I am announcing my new novel, Suckers & Rogues will be released on Friday the 13th.
This year!
This month!
This week!
Eventually, the price will be $6.66, but for a while I will be offering it for a low, low price of 99 cents. This thing is epic long. It's roughly 666 pages. That's a LOT of book for a buck!
So, grab it up! I do not know how long I'll keep it at that price.

Really, Dwayne? Really??? You post on the 666th comment that the book comes out if Friday the 13th, and then you go and anticlimactically say it's 'roughly 700 pages'???No. I'm going to need you to go back and edit it to EXACTLY 666 pages.
...
Also freaking congratulations!!!!!!!!

Don't make me contact more mods Dwayne. Because I will do it.
Edit your post as requested.

The only slasher film I can respect was the original Halloween. The rest are just stupid fun.
