BOTH THOSE BOOKS ARE AMAZING I AGREE

message 73: by Kath (new)

Kath (thishistorynerd) For me, it was Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton (which is kind of really old and a dense classic but I've almost never read a book that made me want to scream with happiness and throw myself off a bridge at the same time quite that much)

message 74: by Lena (new)

Lena (leeniizz) | 0 comments No talk about it but the best book I read this year must be
Everland by Wendy Spinale. A story re-telling about Peter Pan with a twist :D

message 75: by Leah (new)

Leah I think it would have to be Escape from the Asylum from Madeleine Roux! Such an incredible book in that series

message 76: by Julia (new)

Julia Probably Empire of Storms but the Uglies Series, the Selection Series and the 5th wave were close.

message 77: by Danielle (last edited Dec 19, 2016 03:17PM) (new)

Danielle (hhamlet) | 2 comments I've been trying to think about this question on and off ever since December started. I'm not sure if I'll read another book that would be added to my "favorites" list between now and New Year's, but this is hard because I feel like I read a handful of amazing, amazing books that rank really highly for me.

I think, though, that Sarah J. Maas' A Court of Mist and Fury would have to win the top spot. I devoured that book. And then I read it a second time.

OMG it was phenomenal!!! So many feels and the story was just so realistic. It didn't sugarcoat anything, and that is great when dealing with such a censored topic. Bravo!

-A Court of Mist and Fury - Sarah J. Maas

Vanessa Like basically everyone else, I can't choose just one single book. So, in no particular order:

- Trickster by Steven Harper
- The Goblin Emperor by Katherine Addison
- Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig
- The Five Stages of Andrew Brawley by Shaun David Hutchinson
- Liquor by Poppy Z. Brite

There are a lot of other books that I really enjoyed, but I tried to pick just my very top favorites.

And since I'm an avid re-reader, I have to mention that I'm still completely in love with:

Cyteen by C.J. Cherryh
The Tony Foster Trilogy + The Fire's Stone by Tanya Huff
