"Alright alright," Cooper responded. "I'm just stalling anyway. You go to sleep," he said. He hoped his presence helped Luca like Luca's did him. He closed his eyes again and lied still so Luca could get to sleep.

Luca nodded, he shifted so he could wrap his arms around Cooper, he finally slowed his breathing enough where he could actually fall asleep without waking up in the middle of the night.
Cooper could tell when Luca fell asleep. The slow rise and fall of his chest was soothing. He tried to match the pattern and clear his head. After a long time he too was able to fall asleep and this time didn't wake up from nightmares.
When Luca woke up, his phone was constantly ringing and he groaned, " Cooper...." Luca whined, " Please answer that dreaded thing," Luca did trying to wake Cooper up.
Cooper groaned. He rolled over and closed his eyes again. "I don't want to," he murmured. He had finally gotten some good rest. He didn't want it to be interrupted. He wanted to go back to. Wrapping arms around each other and snuggling.
Luca groaned, " One of us is answering, I have a headache, so please babe?" Luca whined as he wrapped his arms tightly around Cooper again, Luca hoped it was just his mother and not anyone else, he didn't need anything else.
Cooper lifted his head and glared at Luca though both knew he didn't mean it. "What?" he said after picking up the phone and answering. His voice was groggy and obvious that he had just woken up.
Grace was frantically asking Cooper question after question, like: 'Where is Luca?!' , 'Is he alive?' , 'Is he with you?!' and so many other questions. Luca buried his face in Cooper's shoulder, he groaned as his headache got a little worse.
"Luca is next to me. Very much alive and perfectly fine other than a hangover," Cooper responded. Be brought his hand up and ran his fingers gently through Luca's hair. "He came over last night. All is well," he added.
Grace stopped asking questions, " Oh thank the lord, I was asleep when he left and when I went upstairs all I saw was Copper the dumb cat on his bed and two friendship bracelets on the floor, I got worried," Grace said before she apologized for waking them and ended the call. Luca mumbled something along the lines of: ' I regret drinking last night' or ' Don't let me drink so much next time'.
"Mm well. Think about this before you decide to drink again," Cooper murmured. "When do you have to be at your dad's?" he asked. He kept running his fingers through Luca's hair after he'd set the phone down on the nightstand.
" After you left I heard my mom mutter something about 4 pm, so I'm guessing that's when I have to go," Luca mumbled, he purrs softly at Cooper's touch, he leaned into the touch too.
"So we have time then?" Cooper inquired, looking to the clock. It was still early in the day so he smile. "Yep. Still have time," he murmured. "Take a shower and I'll cook some food. Itll help your hangover," he spoke. Luca had clothes at his house so changing wouldn't be a problem.
Luca whined, " Do I have to get up right now? Can't we just stay like this for another hour or so?" Luca asked as he cuddled closer to Cooper, smiling as he buried his face into Cooper's chest.
"Stick to my shoulder," Cooper said in a small whimper. The marks on his chest were still irritated. "But yeah we have the time to. And I like lying here with you," he added after a moment.
" Sorry," Luca mumbled, he moved his face to Cooper's shoulder and nuzzled Cooper, " also I like lying here with you too," Luca said softly.
"Good," Cooper mumbled and kissed the top of Luca's head. He let his arm gently move up and down his boyfriends? best friends? back. He wasn't sure yet. They liked each other. Was that automatic grounds for boyfriends?
Luca just mumbled something incoherent before he shifted and yawned, " What are we now?" Luca asked softly as he wrapped his arms around Cooper's lower torso.
"I was just wondering the same thing," Cooper responded. It was as if Luca had read his questioning mind. "What do you want to be?" he questioned.
" Well...if you want we can be boyfriend, but if not I'll happily be your best friend with benefits," Luca said, he said the last part as a joke, but if that was what happened, then he wouldn't be afraid of being just that. Luca decided to pull away and lay on his side, he propped his head up with his arm and looked at Cooper.
Cooper laced his fingers together and put his hands under his head. "I've never been good at relationships you know this," he stated. "I forget everything. I don't text back. I try to be romantic but ultimately fail. I'm awful at this crap. You have to understand that," he added.
Luca smiled, " Cooper, I've known this for years, I've watched you in every relationship you've had, I know it's hard for you, it's hard for me too, I can never stay in a relationship long enough without doing something wrong or hurting people," Luca said softly.
"Well. We've been friends long enough to know each other inside and out. We hurt each other every once in a while, yeah but we always come back," Cooper said, looking up at the ceiling. After a moment he turned his head to look at Luca, "I think we'd be good as a couple. Because of how well we know each other. But maybe we should just kind of test the waters for a while."
Luca nodded, agreeing with Cooper, " Alright then," Luca said softly as he closed his eyes, " This headache is getting worse every time I talk," Luca mumbled as he rubbed his temples slightly.
Cooper sighed, "I'll get you some pain killers." He got up and stopped to pull done pajama pants on before going downstairs. He grabbed a glass of water and some pills after taking some himself for his chest. "Here," he said upon entering his room again, holding the items out.
" I'm sorry you have to deal with me like this," Luca apologized as he took the items, he popped the pills into his mouth and swallowed, he took a large drink of water to make sure they actually went down.
"I don't mind. It's not like we haven't been through this before," Cooper responded. He sat on the edge of the bed and stretched his arms over his head.
" I hate how I drink when I'm pissed off, thankfully I'm not an abusive drunk or I'd be joining Poppy in prison," Luca mumbled, the pain sub sided and he glanced up at the ceiling before looking at Cooper.
Cooper sighed. "Good thing I'm not abusive in general," he responded. Not like his dad had been. He stayed sitting in his spot looking at his lap until he fell back.
Luca sighed and crawled over to Cooper, he positioned himself above Cooper and smiled down at Cooper, " Why don't we try to focus on something else?" Luca suggested.
Cooper raised a brow when he was suddenly looking up at Luca. "Like what?" he inquired. He was perfectly happy with changing he topic. Anything that didn't involve the downfalls of life was a hell of a lot better.
" We can focus on how absolutely hot and sexy you are," Luca suggested as he took one of Cooper's hands and brought it up to his lips.
Cooper chuckle. "Not even 24 hours and your already trying to jump my bones," he responded though the slightest bit of pink was on his cheeks.
Luca chuckled, " Oh no, I don't want to jump your bones just yet, perhaps I should tease you until you beg for me to take you," Luca said teasingly as he kept Cooper's hand on his lip, he then released Cooper's hand.
Cooper smirked. "Darling," he flipped over and instead looked down at Luca, "that's a dangerous game to play." His hands moved up Luca's arms until his fingers were laced with Luca's. He leaned down and kiss Luca again.
Luca chuckled softly as Cooper responded, he felt Cooper's hand trail up his arm until their hands met and Cooper held it, Luca kissed Cooper back once he blinked away the blurriness.
Cooper held the kiss for a little while before pulling away and getting up. "Alright. I'm going to cook breakfast because you need food in you," he said with a smile. He walked over to his dresser and grabbed a shirt to put on.
Luca whimpered at the loss of Cooper's lips, but he smiled and nodded.
Since Cooper was alone often he'd learned how to cook pretty well. He had to otherwise he would be eating fast food every meal. He wasn't really feeling it this morning so he just cooks some pancakes, eggs, and bacon.
Luca laid on his back and stared up at the ceiling, he then decided he didn't want to be alone with his thoughts and went and followed Cooper to the kitchen, " Every time I watch you cook, you get sexier and sexier," Luca said.
"Oh yeah?" Cooper asked. "It'll be done soon. I went with simple," he said afterwards. He was currently flipping pancakes with a pan of bacon sizzling on the burner to the right.
" Mmmmmm....Bacon," Luca said as he came over to the stove and reached for a piece of bacon, he was extremely hungry.
Cooper slapped Luca's hand away. "No you'll wait," he said. He could remember his grandpa doing the same when he was a kid. He was always kidding but Cooper would always wait after that.
Luca growled slightly, " Ugh, fine, you're lucky you're cute," Luca muttered as he hoped onto the counter slightly a bit away from the stove.
"As if you'd do anything even if I wasn't cute," Cooper responded. "Scrambled eggs or fried?" he inquired. He personally hated scrambled eggs.
Luca smiled and shook his head, " You never know baby, anyways fried, I don't feel like eating scrambled eggs right now," Luca replied.
"Good I don't even like cooking scrambled eggs," Cooper responded. He cooked everything to how each one of them liked and got out plates.
Luca licked his lips, " I should really buy you an 'Kiss the Cook' apron," Luca said teasingly as he hoped off the counter to grab some cups from the cabinet, " What would you like drink for this fine morning or whatever time it is?" Luca asked loudly, he winced and rubbed his temples a little.
"Water," Cooper responded. He plated for both of them and put his pans in the sink so he could wash them later. "What are you doing with your dad? Hanging out?" he questioned. His own father had recently tried to make contact with him. But Coop hadn't told anyone.
Luca shrugged, " My Dad hasn't texted me yet, he's probably still sleeping at this time like one of us should be," Luca said as he filled a glass with water poured some orange juice into the other glass.
