Cooper sighed. "Luca. I already told you. It was just a kiss. I just though if I kissed you id knock your socks off. Don't worry about it," he responded. He really didn't want to talk about this. He didn't think he could deal with it with how close he was to losing it.

Luca groaned, he let his head fall back, " But it wasn't just a kiss! For fucks sake you used tongue!" Luca said as he looked at Cooper, eyes blazing in slight anger, he didn't like this one bit, all he wanted was the damn truth. That maybe, just maybe Cooper had a slight crush on him, a little crush that could easily go away.
Cooper groaned. He got up and looked to Luca, "that doesn't mean anything! Why are you getting so mad at me? I pretty much asked you before I did it and you didn't protest! So what's the problem now? Why the hell does it matter that I didn't just peck your lips? It means nothing!" He was tired of being yelled at. They had never fought so much in less than 24 hours.
Luca groaned, he walked forward and hugged Cooper, " I'm sorry, I really am, I'm sorry, it's just that god fucking aye, I've never been kissed like that, I mean yeah I've been kissed but not like that, not with so much love of whatever the fuck it was, I....I hate fighting," Luca mumbled burying his face into Cooper's chest.
Cooper closed his eyes. He brought his arms up and wrapped them around Luca. When his eyes opened he noticed his hands were shaking. He sighed and pulled back. "Why do you keep yelling at me? You know I don't like being yelled at for more than I just don't like us fighting," he murmured. It had to do with his crap dad.
" I'm sorry Coop, I'm really sorry," Luca mumbled, he closed his eyes, " I'm such a horrible friend,I'm sorry," Luca said as he shifted his head so his ear was pressed against Cooper's chest right above his friends heart. " I'll try my best to stop yelling at you, I really really hate fighting with you, you're my best friend and I never want to lose you," Luca said softly.
Cooper shook his head. "You aren't going to lose me and you aren't a bad friend," he sighed. He rest his chin on Luca's head, wondering if his friend could hear how rapidly his heart beat. It was a combination of Luca being so close and getting yelled at. He always felt awful when people other than his mother yelled.
Luca sighed, he smiled suddenly, " are you nervous or happy that your hugging me? Your heart beat is faster then normal," Luca said softly, he thought he heard the sound of the front door opening but didn't bother to check, if it was his mother they had no reason to be afraid or cautious, although if it was his stepmother then they had a reason to be afraid or cautious because Luca's stepmother hated gays with a passion and has threatened to kill Luca so many times and has threatened to kill Cooper too, thankfully Lucas mother is always here to make sure nothing like that happens. " You shouldn't be here Poppy, my gay son and his bisexual best friend might be here," came the sneering tone of his mother, she was emphasizing the words gay and bisexual meaning she was trying to get someone out of the house, it sounded like it was coming from the kitchen, Luca sighed softly, " Go up to my room Cooper, I'm going to go help my mom with my stepmother," Luca mumbled, he tightly hugged Cooper and then let go, walking towards the kitchen where he heard whispering.
Cooper shook his head. "Like hell im leaving you with her," he muttered to himself. He followed Luca into the kitchen and smiled at both of the women that had walked in. "Hello ladies. How are you this fine day?" he questioned, sending an obvious wink at Luca's stepmom because he knew she hated him. His anger had popped out plenty of times around this woman. One time he'd actually dared her to try and kill him just so he'd have an excuse to kick her ass.
Poppy and Grace turned to the boys that entered the kitchen, Poppy scrunched her nose, she saw Cooper's ruffled hair, " Did you two have sex?" Poppy asked in disgust, Luca decided to play around with his stepmom, " Yeah, problem?" Luca asked, giving Cooper a look he hoped his friend knew. Poppy frowned, " You let them have sex?" Poppy asked, Grace smiled softly, " Don't worry, I supply them condoms, don't I boys?" Grace said, she crossed her arms and looked at Cooper and her son.
Cooper nodded. "We're safe don't worry. Luca here is the best I've ever had. And I'm talking girls and guys," he spoke. Yeah he'd had definitely caught that look Luca gave him. "Speaking of girls. That snarl on your face is really working for me," he spoke and let out a soft purr. Making her uncomfortable was one of his favorite things to do.
Poppy's face contorted into disgust, she backed away from the boys, " Stay away from me you disgusting half faggot freak!" Poppy screeched as she grabbed a knife and came closer to Cooper, Luca's eyes widened and he stepped in front of Cooper. Grace moved forward, " Get the fuck out of my house you crazy woman," Grace said dangerously low, Poppy didn't budge she got closer to Luca and Cooper, " If either one of you come near me again, I swear to god you two won't have balls anymore, you guys are no good, disgusting, weird, sick, gay freaks, everyone wishes you were dead, no one likes you," Poppy growled, now that hit Luca right in the heart because he started tearing up.
Cooper looked to Luca and growled. "You made my friend cry. I'm afraid that's not something I tolerate very well," he spoke. He reached into his pocket and felt his keys, switching the safety on his pepper spray to off he quickly pushed Luca to the side and pressed the button that directed the spray at Poppy. He watched as she reared back and took his chance to knock the knife from her hand and get her on the ground. "Luca or Grace. One of you call the cops please," he requested in a rather calm tone. But that was more dangerous than anything. He hand her hands pulled behind her back and straddled her body so she couldn't move.
Luca just watched Cooper, Poppy's scream of pain would be burned into his brain along with her hurtful words, he scrambled to the living room, first calling his dad to tell him what a bitch his wife was and then callled the cops, who came in less then five minutes. A police officer, twice the size of Cooper came busting into the house, Luca pointed to the kitchen and the man walked that way, Luca collapsed on the couch and began crying. " Excuse me sir, but I think your friend needs you," the police officer said to Cooper.
Cooper nodded but didn't get off of Poppy until he knew the cop had it handled. Before he did anything else he washed his hands to ensure no pepper spray got on them. "Come here," he murmured when he went in to the couch and pulled Luca to him. As usual his quiet and stoic demeanor took over and he held his friend to him.
Grace didn't move from her spot, she was a little horrified to be honest and didn't know Cooper had it in him to do that to a woman, but she had to say it was pretty damn adorable how Cooper defended her son without hesitation. " If you ever get let out, just know that my ex-husband would never get back with you, he loves Cooper and Luca and always has since they were little boys, when he found out they were gay, he loved them even more you bitch," Grace yelled when Poppy glared at her. Luca curled close to Cooper, " Why does she hate us? What have we ever done to her? My father doesn't treat us like this at all! In fact he's taken us out of school just so we can have a gay day with just the three of us," Luca mumbled, he grabbed a fistful of Cooper's shirt, " Do people like me?" Luca asked softly.
Cooper's own emotions were starting to catch up. His adrenaline rush was dying and his regular functions were starting to kick in. He could now feel in his chest how rapidly his heart beat. "Luca of course people like you. You can't let her tell you those things. She doesn't get it. A lot of people don't but that doesn't matter. What matters is who you are and that the people that can accept you do and happily. Don't let that bitch bring you down. She's ridiculous. I like you, your parents like you, Cindy likes you, those guys on the football team like you, the gay guy on my soccer team likes you. Lots of people like you. She shouldn't matter," he told his friend.
Luca sighed softly as he closed his eyes, he could feel Cooper's heart rapidly beating, that worried Luca, but he didn't know how to help calm him down at the moment, he suddenly shook his head and looked at Cooper, " You need to steady your heartbeat Cooper, if you don't you might get an heart attack," Luca murmured softly as he bit his lip, worry flashed in his eyes once or twice, the police officer from earlier entered the room, " Sorry to disturb your moment but you both need to sign a complaint form and restraining order, well the restraining order isn't for you, it's for the woman who attempted to hurt you so that she can stay far away from you guys, and Mr. James, your friend is right, I'm gay myself and my entire team protects me all the time, they like me too and hang out with me and my husband all the time, don't let a bitch get to you," the officer said holding out the papers to the two kids.
After giving a statement and all of the other things the officer wanted from Cooper he collapsed on the couch and brought his hands to his temples. Since, he had calmed down but he really just wanted to go to bed. "Will you be okay if I go home?" he asked Luca softly.
After he gave his own statement he looked at Cooper, " Yeah, go home Coop," Luca said as he closed his eyes and leaned back against the couch, his eyes burning from the tears.
Cooper scooted over and hugged Luca from the side, letting his head sit on the other boy's shoulder. Silent tears slipped down his face as the fear from earlier finally took over. Because he finally realized that someone was actually completely prepared to kill him and Luca. He wiped his eyes and got up. "Fuck I don't know where my keys are now," he muttered to himself since he had tossed them somewhere after using the pepper spray connected to them.
Grace came in, " I don't think you're in any mood to drive, why don't you stay the night again?" Grace suggested as she held up Cooper's keys, after Cooper had let go of him after the hug, Luca had already fallen asleep, fear having to had taken over and overwhelm his body.
"Yeah okay," Cooper said quietly. He took the keys with a thank you and set them down on a table with his wallet so he'd be able to find them later. He walked over to Luca and scooped him up, carrying him up to his bed and setting him down. He climbed into bed and pulled the blankets over the both of them.
Grace watched Cooper with Luca and sighed softly, " Confess your feelings for each other already, everyone is just waiting for you to get the hint and confess them," Grace muttered as she went to her room and collapsed on her bed. Luca felt himself being moved, but didn't dare stir or wake up.
Cooper pulled Luca close to him. His eyes fell over the features of his friend's sleeping form. He exhaled and closed his eyes, keeping his arms around Luca and letting his head rest on his shoulder. Quickly he fell asleep, his dreams were nonexistent luckily. Just a black void.
Luca dreamt of many many things, most of them nightmares of what happened with Poppy and how she almost hurt Cooper, Luca's nightmare kept repeating and suddenly it changed and in the nightmare Poppy actually killed Cooper, that made Luca scream and suddenly he woke up, he felt arms around him, he turned around to see Cooper and sighed in relief. Luca leaned forward a bit and kissed his sleeping friend's cheek, he in turn wrapped his arms around Cooper's torso and tried falling back asleep.
Cooper stirred when Luca woke. "It's okay," he whispered, assuming it was a bad dreamed but not completely awake to ask what was wrong. He hoped his words of attempted comfort was good. He added a soft kiss to the first part of Luca he could find without moving too much, which happened to be his neck, then nuzzled his cheek into his shoulder.
Luca just chuckled, "I know it's okay, I have you," Luca mumbled softly as he opened his eyes a little to look at Cooper, he felt a kiss on his neck and that made him even more sleepy then he already was, he closed his eyes again and fell asleep again.
Cooper had already been asleep when Luca responded. When he woke up he didn't know what time it was or where he was really. Until he realized there were arms around him and he knew the only person he'd let touch him like this was Luca. He groaned softly and rubbed his eyes.
Grace stood in the doorway, " You guys slept all last night and half the day, your mother called last night all worried and I had to spend ten minutes telling her that you weren't dead," Grace said to Cooper with a laugh, she looked at her sleeping son and smirked, it was cute how the two friends acted so much like a couple but actually weren't one. Grace saw how they were sorta tangled in each other's limbs, " When I was younger I never believed the saying: ' If you and your friend aren't rumored to be dating at least once in life then you guys aren't really friends' it was just stupid back then, but now I believe it," Grace said with a smile.
Cooper nodded, listening to her words. "I've never heard that," he responded quietly. He untangled himself from Luca and sat up, rubbing his eyes and running his hands through his hair. "Did my mom say anything else? Like if she's coming home?" he asked. He hadn't seen her in a week. She'd been on a business trip. But she was always on business trips so it wasn't weird. He only saw her once or twice a month.
Grace smiled softly, then she sighed, " I'm sorry honey, not until next week, said something about another meeting and whatever, honestly I forgot what she works as, anywho, you're staying here today, Luca needs you, I'm pretty sure he gained an nightmare from what happened last night," Grace said. Luca didn't stir, he heard voices, but he didn't stir.
Cooper sighed softly. "Alright," he murmured. He turned and his hid face in the pillow, not wanting to think about his mother. Ever since she kicked his dad out she'd been just... Gone. Whether it be business trips or dates with random guys he'd see come in at night and leave in the morning she was always somewhere else.
Luca sighed in his sleep, when the smell of his mother left the room he stirred, " You okay Cooper? I can feel sadness radiating off you," Luca said half asleep, but he looked at his friend and put a hand on his friend's arm. Luca knew about Cooper's mom, it's why he always stuck by Cooper lately and didn't go anywhere without his friend. Luca hated how his mother's friend didn't try to spend any time with Cooper, all she ever did was go on business trips and date guys, while Luca and his mother were, gladly, stuck with Cooper, making him happy and making sure he's cared for. " I can't believe that she was actually going to kill you," Luca murmured suddenly, laying back down and wrapping his arms around Cooper, he wanted to comfort his friend, knowing they both needed it.
Cooper curled up into Luca. He needed the comfort though he probably wouldn't ever really admit it. "I told her I found her attractive of course she tried to kill me," he murmured. "I can't believe I told her that," he added afterwards. Of course it wasn't true and it was all just to provoke her, but he was still surprised. "It was my fault," he finished.
Luca frowned, " Cooper, it was not your fault, she probably would have tried to kill you if you breathed on her," Luca murmured softly, he started rubbing small circles into Cooper's side, he closed his eyes and forced a smile on his face, " Should I call my dad today and ask him if he wants to go out on a gay day?" Luca asked as he looked at Cooper, he wanted to cheer his friend up.
"No. I want to stay here with you," Cooper responded. He looked to Luca with the innocent look his face adopted every so often. "Is that okay?" he asked quietly. He gave his friend a small smile. "We can eat food and snuggle," he added and grinned.
Luca chuckled and held Cooper close, " You're adorable, I now understand why my mom wanted to adopt you," Luca said with a laugh, " Sure you can stay with me, and we might have to go shopping today for food if we want to eat, as for cuddling, I'll be happy to be your cuddle buddy....heck I've been your cuddle buddy for years now, didn't we start cuddling together when we were seven?" Luca said with a smile, he loved remembering things that involved the both of them, his phone buzzed, probably his worried father or worried friends, but all he cared about was Cooper and only Cooper.
Cooper smiled. "We can go to the store in a little bit. I want pizza rolls annddddd cookie dough ice cream," he nodded. He brought his hand up and ran it through Luca's hair. "Probably seven. Maybe sooner. I remember all of the moments but the ages are fuzzy," he agreed. He looked to Luca's phone, "you should get that. What if it's important?"
Luca smiled softly and leaned his head into Cooper's touch, when his friend suggested answering the buzzing phone, he sighed and picked it up, he swiped the answer button and held the phone up to his ear, wincing as he heard Cindy's worried voice on the other end, " Bitch, chill, we're alive, Poppy got arrested and can't be more then one hundred feet from us," Luca answered his frantic friend, who calmed instantly at the mention of them being alive, Luca talked to Cindy for a few moments before ending the call and looking at Cooper, " Let's sleep for a while longer," Luca mumbled.
Cooper was stuck in his head while Luca talked to Cindy. He didn't realize at first Luca was talking to him but eventually focused on his friend. "Okay," he said softly. He moved his arm around Luca again and gently pressed his lips to Luca's shoulder.
Luca sighed softly, he hated doing this, pretending that what Cooper was doing to him lately wasn't making him feel things he shouldn't, he sighed, " I know this is bothering you, but I can't believe it's just a kiss, Cooper, I'm sorry but I really don't think that was just a kiss, if you're afraid of something then tell me because you put an awful lot of feelings into the wretched kiss, it's also destroying our friendship, and I hate for that to happen," Luca said, rambling on about the kiss.
Cooper reared away from Luca. "Really? Right now?" he questioned. He shook his head, "Luca the kiss isn't ruining our friendship, you are. You're the only one that had a problem." He pulled the covers away from his body and got up, adjusting his shirt then trying to find his shoes that he had discarded before getting in bed.
Luca sighed, " Cooper," Luca said dejectedly, he closed his eyes, tearing streaming down his face. (( sorry it's short ))
"Don't Luca," Cooper said quietly. "Either drop it or I'm leaving," he said, looking at Luca. He didn't want to but he also didn't want to keep talking about the damn kiss.
" Cooper please, I know it's nagging at you too," Luca said softly as he grabbed Cooper's arm, looking at his friend with puppy dog eyes
"But Luca you're wrong. It's not," Cooper responded. "It's only you and I don't know why you won't let it go," he stated further. He was so upset right now. His hands were doing the thing when they shook when he started getting emotional.
" You've been so touchy with me lately ever since the kiss Cooper, something is obviously wrong, tell me, I'm your best friend, we're supposed to tell each other things," Luca said, grip tightening a little bit on Cooper's wrist, he pulled his friend onto his lap.
"Luca what do you want from me when you've been yelling at me so damn much. You're the touchy one. Do you want to tell me what you're problem is?" Cooper questioned in return. He pulled away form Luca again.
(( I've been wondering when the kiss thing to shut Luca up should happen ))Luca grabbed Cooper again and held him tighter, " Tell me what my problem is then," Luca said gently, wrapping his arms around Cooper's waist, trying to get him to calm down so he doesn't get worked up.
