Megan (lahairoi) | 7470 comments Just completed #7 (light blue) - The North Water by Ian McGuire. While this book is gritty, it is so well-written! Most of the violence and gore are a part of the story. However, some, especially towards the end, was a bit gratuitous. While I'm usually not a fan of stories without at least one redeemable character, the author's writing and imagery pulled me in. Definitely worth reading! 4 stars
