I guess I should say I began to love to Sebastian after certain things that come to light later on in the books. But reading this one again and being reminded of what he did dampened that for me. And Valentine might be a supreme douche, but no one ever said he wasn't a smart guy hahaha

Good luck! You can make yourself read a long chapter each day or two of the shorter ones. But if you force it you might not enjoy it as much. I do that with books I am not enjoying but don't want to DNF because I'm using them for a challenge lol

True. I forgot this one is like 500 pages instead of like 350, so I was thinking those 40 page chapters will make a huge dent. Guess not =P

That scene in the woods with Jace and Clary... So unnecessary... It may as well not have happened.

Good on Clary for going to Sebastian, but stupid of her to think about Jace while doing it. I knew something was off with him, but I didn't think he was a spy for Valentine! The way that Samuel was Hodge also threw me off! Wonder why she has this sense of recognition when she sees him?

How did Clary not know that it was Luke's pack? She knew that he was missing, and she knew he was a werewolf, and yet she still said 'it's not Luke's pack'. She's so retarded.

And then MAX!! That's where I finished, them holding his body after the demon attack :( If only they'd listen to him when he talked about the demons climbing the towers. (hide spoiler)]

I just need to read around 100 pages a day and I should be alright. Not that that's ever going to happen but yknow :p I've got 250 to go and I have another 4 days, so if I cut that back to 75 a day I should be sweet. That's still a lot though :/

That is a lot but I feel like it flies by so much faster if it's a book you're really into. I've been reading Scythe for almost a month now and I'm barely over halfway lol

It really isn't the least bit obvious, other than him knowing some stuff he probably shouldn't if he was locked up as long as he claimed to have been. (hide spoiler)]

I don't understand why he couldn't just lock the kid up or something, he clearly wasn't a threat. I love Sebastian but he was pure evil in those chapters. I still wonder about that scene though. Aaaaannnd I'm finished with City of Glass!

(view spoiler)[ So I really enjoyed it...but........it seemed really chaotic. I did like how things ended but I don't remember half of what happened in the book. A lot of it felt rushed and thrown together.

I still did enjoy a lot of things like Magnus and Alec. I'm really happy for them. Probably my favorite couple in the series so far. Simon might finally get a girlfriend once he decides on which one lol. I've always known he's a ladies man (haha. okay not funny). Jace and Clary ARE NOT SIBLINGS. Thank god! I found it hilarious that Clary still managed to kiss her real brother even when she thought her brother was Jace. At least this time she didn't fall for her real brother. I'm glad that Jocelyn's back and Luke's getting a happy ending so far. Honestly, there were a lot of good things that happened in this book, I just can't remember them all. There were so many things that happened.

I still Clary was useless. I mean yeah she put her powers to use but I was really hoping that she'd start training as a Shadowhunter. She claims that she's a Shadowhunter but she hasn't done anything to prove that she even wants to be a Shadowhunter or respects what they are. She hasn't showed any initiative to train and learn their ways.

Jace was 10x of an a-hole in this book. Don't get me wrong, I found his a-holey charms entertaining in the past two books but he was out of line a lot in this book.

And of course, they both put everyone in danger with all their selfishness.

I found Valentine's death really ironic. The one experiment he made by accident caused his fall. Clary really did a number on him even if the angel killed him.

There a lot of things that I liked and disliked for this book. I'm giving it a 3 because it was so chaotic. I feel like if it was more organized then I would give it a 4. (hide spoiler)]

When I listened to the audiobook I found everything so erratic, too. I think that reading it myself and already knowing what to expect made it easier to absorb the details, which is why I bumped my rating for this one up to 4 stars.

I started A Clockwork Angel today. I realized that Lord of Shadows was coming out in like 10 weeks, and I wanted to have all of TMI and TID reread by then, plus Lady Midnight. I don't know if I can squeeze all that in, but either way I will stop to pop in for updates and stuff. I also don't know where The Bane Chronicles fits into the grand scheme of things either, but I'm sure it comes after TMI so I can read that one with you guys.

I finished Clockwork Angel yesterday, I borrowed it from the library too early and it is due back soon. I don't have a copy of City of Fallen Angels yet so I'm not sure when I'll start it. Let me know when you are finish with CA.

We've already read the City of Ashes. We currently at City of Glass/Clockwork Angel. We are not that far ahead so feel free to join. We kept discussions for all the books in this thread. COA is still fresh in our mind so if you post, we'll discuss it with you. Just be careful not to click on spoilers for the later books.

It's ok. It took me a month to finish Scythe so I understand. It's hard to remember details when you read so many books in between though. I'm almost done with Clockwork Angel but I've been busy lately.

I finally finished Clockwork Angel and changed my rating from 2 stars to 4. The audiobook was seriously awful so I'm glad I gave it another shot. I remembered most of the main points but forgot so much of the back story on the characters and the Enclave.
