I have a question before I start my first random book: Is it ok if I generate the list randomly each time and just take the top book? It makes it more fun for me if I don't know what I'm going to be reading until it is time. Kind of like a present! lol

I'd like to join this challenge! I saw someone do it per quarter and I quite like that. I'll read a minimum of three books from the randomiser by quarter:

I found it's the randomising I love so much so it was great for like 2 min when I set up my challenge and then I failed. So now I'm switching to just randomise each :)

That is exactly it for me, too. I know I would fail if I had to have this list ahead of time. Because then, for me, it goes from a fun surprise to a chore that needs done. :)

I'll give this a go, although I may cheat a bit. Going to try and get five random reads in as I go through my 20 total book challenge (now upped to 30) this year, but I'll pick a new random book from the list each time (meaning I'm not setting my list ahead of time). It will also be conditional on me owning the book/being able to get the book as I often use my "to-read" section for ones to get later.
